What's on Your (photo) Friday Menu, RNYers?
OMG, are you kidding me? If I ever did something like you I'd be wearing a picture of myself doing it around my nec****ep 'em coming, lady - your accomplishment is AMAZING!
Happy 15 months!

Just my 2-cents, but don't EVER apologize for posting race pictures. You should be amazingly proud of your accomplishment and I for one love to see the pictures. Its both inspirational and a reminder to all of us how much we can achieve with hard work and dedication! I DID cry the last .1 mile of my first half-marathon and then I had to pull myself together so I could high-five Mickey Mouse at the finish line! Congrats again!!!
Hey Kristin,
Lots of changes on the site - I anticipate some serious complaints today lol! Seems a lot of people are resistant to change.
I am sorry to hear about your car troubles. I have a 2008 Jetta but I drive so little that it only has 35,000 miles on it! I cross my fingers that he keeps kicking (his name is Norbert). I hope yours is not as bad as anticipated.
Here in DC we have a Noreaster and a hurricane on the way. It is SO dark and dreary and rainy here. My steps are going to be so low - I hate when bad weather persists for days. Today is a rest day for me from the gym.
Speaking of the gym, my photo today is from after my Solidcore class yesterday. Solidcore is this insane workout that is done on pilates reformer machines and the whole concept is muscle failure - you have an instructor with a mic making you do crunches and lunges and planks and all these crazy things and the music is bumping and you think you will die but then you don't and honestly, it's transforming my body. I am 13 days from having an arm lift, but pretty proud at how the rest of me is looking (see below and whyyyyyy is the image so huge? I am sorry! I can't insert images the way I used to).
Time Since Surgery: Almost 22 months
B: Coffee with low fat half and half, 1 oz havarti cheese, 1 hard boiled eggs, red peppers from the olive bar
L: Crabcake from Whole Foods
D: Half of a grilled cheese made with goat cheese, provolone, onions, bacon!
My weekend plans are to relax, get some workouts in, go out on a date tomorrow night, and meet up with a friend who has lapland and HER friend who had a lower body lift and has had a bunch of complications, poor guy. He did it at our city hospital (somehow he got insurance to cover it!) but he has incisions opening, swelling, fever, hematoma...you name it, he has had it happen.
ALSO - if anyone has a good recipe for successfully making fried rice with cauliflower, please share! There are tons of recipes online but the one time I tried it, i basically had greasy tiny bits of cauliflower. Thanks!
