Yesterday marked the one-year anniversary of my welcome group session at the Legacy Weight & Diabetes Institute (my surgery was right between the third and fourth pics). My loss is definitely starting to slow down, but I'm ok with that. I wasn't sure where I should set a goal so I picked the middle of the normal BMI range, but I'm starting to think that won't really be possible without skin removal. I've gone from a size 24 pants and 26/28 tops to an all-around 8-10 (4 in some brands!), so I'm pretty happy regardless.

Great Job! You look fantastic, and I don't think you are done, you are only 5 months out. People lose for 12-18 months.

Thanks, I sure hope so! I'm in another stall, and I wasn't sure how long I'd lose since I lost 80 lbs pre-op, but I'm glad there's still hope.

You're getting so TINY!!! I mean, your body is still losing but look at the size of your frame! That's amazing. You've done such an amazing job, and as I recall you've been committed and losing like crazy since you started pre-op. Well done, you - keep up the great work!

Thanks Christine! That is SO WEIRD to hear! My husband says the same thing, and so did my boss when I gave her a hug the other day. If there's been one unexpected part of this process, it's learning that I actually had a rather small frame hiding under the fat all these years.

A+ on knowing how to photo-document your progress to perfection. Bet you are A+ at your job, too. Way to go.
