Just one of those mornings
Overwhelmed at work, so I "try" to get out of the house early. The baby is hanging on my leg while I pack lunch and my husband had to comfort him so I leave. So I'm getting in my car, and I do the protein shake I had made, the lid pops off and it splashes all over the inside of my car. In the heater vents on the dash, all over the gear shifter, and completely soaking the passenger seat. I have to run in for a roll of paper towel to get it cleaned up, which, of course, makes the baby cry again.
I got to work an hour later than I had planned. My car smells Tasty now, but I expect it will reek in a few days.
Sorry for the whiney post, but II needed to vent. I think my eye is actually starting to twitch today.
ugh! What an awful morning! So sorry for your troubles. I too spilled a protein shake in my car and I had to spend $200 to get it detailed to get rid of the smell. It was awful! I now have the weather tech floor mats which can simply be washed off. But that would not have helped with seats! Hope your day improves!
Mornings like those are SO HARD!!! I have 2 teenage girls, a 4 year old and a 2 year old. I TOTALLY understand the clingy, crying baby thing...you are NOT alone! My husband leaves for work when we are all still sleeping, so I dont have any help in the morning.
Vent away....its good for the soul :)
It's clear WLS mothers who work outside the home have a strength that goes beyond explanation. You don't reveal your deepest feelings until the very last sentence. My first phone call to a Center for Weight Management was the very same day I became an empty-nester...I can't help think it wasn't an accident, rather a plan that was always in the working. Your plan to have WLS means YOU ARE MUCH STRONGER and can be a mom, worker, and successful WLSer all at the same time. You are amazing, smelly car or not.
Oh my, that does sound like a maddening morning! *hugs* I hope your day gets better (and that your eye stops twitching soon!)
And absolutely- sometimes venting is the best thing. *nods*
Your penguin for the day:

Sorry you had such a tough start! I am sure you will rock your day though, just like you have an amazing weight loss journey! I wish I had had my surgery when my kids were young so I would have been a healthy example for them. They were already in college when I had surgery and both have weight issues. My youngest graduated college in May and got a very active job at a botanical garden. He has lost 15 pounds since he started there and it makes me so happy!
