What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
AV, you are speaking my language. Shopping!!! I have already been in full Fall shopping mode. I have confessed previously to my boot addiction, but am also buying tights, leggings and coats! I didn't have a single coat that fit, so I have been on a frenzy of buying...long, short, dressy, ponchos and casual. Also cashmere. I love all things cashmere. I've scored some pretty good deals on cashmere sweaters. I made a deal with myself that I can't put any clothing on a credit card. It's all cash for me, or I would go nuts (nuttier?).
Today I am wearing a new leopard skirt. Leopard. On. My. Ass. Who woulda thunk it? I'm finding White House Black Market is a great store for reasonably priced work clothing. And Nordstrom Rack. I love me some Nordstrom Rack. Have any of you tried the online site HauteLook? It's an online Nordstrom Rack. If you don't like what you bought, you can return it via mail or take it to a store to return. I love it!
I just got a sit/stand desk at work and it is the best thing ever! I find that I am doing more standing than sitting these days. Mostly because it hurts my butt to sit too long, and I get to do desk dancing. I live in fear that someone will walk in my office and catch me dancing around while I am on a conference call or responding to emails.

JEALOUS of your sit/stand desk. It's like my number one wishlist item for my work life. I have this huge, ridiculous desk that I inherited with the job. I was actually going to get rid of it and get myself a sit/stand desk, then I discovered the current desk will have to be taken apart to get out the door. Now I'm usually a DIY kind of gal, but the desk is literally going to have to sawed into pieces and that's a little above my skill level.
But we're expanding and renovating next year, so I'm bidding my time.
Do you find a difference with your energy/productivity?
Thanks for the HauteLook tip!

Total difference with my productivity and energy. I find that if I sit too long, including the sore butt, I get sleepy and sluggish. I don't when I stand. I also find that I tend to zip around my office more when I'm standing - straightening up and purging files, etc. I just feel overall more energetic! Take an ax to that desk and get it out of there! You won't regret it.

Oh, White House Black Market! We have one here at Destiny but I've never been inside. Mission!
First and most important - The question of the day! I had my surgery in May of 2014 so last fall/winter was a weird time for me. My old sweaters were too big but I didn't go down significantly in sizes, so I looked like a baggy mess. This year is a whole other story. NONE of my fall/winter clothes fit, so I have to shop for basically a whole new wardrobe. Luckily my office is casual, so I can wear jeans everyday if I want, but I have absolutely no tops or sweaters. So, it looks like I'll be joining all of you shopping at Macy's!
On to food:
B: Ground turkey, spinach and feta cheese; grapes
S: Somersaults
L: Leftover italian sausage, onions and peppers (it was delish last night, so I'm sure your beau will enjoy tonight, Anny!)
S: Light and Fit and Peanut Butter
D: Tri-Tip and grilled zucchini
S: Kind bar and strawberry outshine bar
Exercise: Tonight's a run night and am planning on 4-5 miles depending on when I get out of work and if the lights are on in the park. The coming time change is messing with my half-marathon training! That also means its an "I have to eat back my calories" day. I HATE these days
Totals: Cal: 1109; Protein 93g; Fat 54g; Carbs: 60 g (short of goals set by medical team so there will be some adjusting!)
I thought I was disguising my baggy clothes pretty good (I am wearing tank tops to cover exposed bra, etc.****il a co-worker today readjusted the back of my shirt that was hanging out and said... "It's time... go to the store, Lourie, and buy smaller clothes! Everything is too big!!!" I am glad she couldn't see my underwear that is all wadded up at the top because they don't fit. LOL.
Greetings!
