I ate the toppings off of a slice of pepperoni pizza on Saturday,  along with some salad.  It was my first post op attempt at salad,  and I loved it.  Forgot how much I missed tomatoes.

Hey, everyone! Nikki rocked the Iron Man competition in Augusta this weekend! Loved being able to race stalk her!  Hip, hip hurray for Nikki!!!!!  Our own Iron Lady!

My weekend was rained in. I had taken Friday off, so of course it rained all 3 days!  LOL. But, that's okay, we got alot of work done in the house!

I am going to put it out there... I am not exercising enough!  I am vowing to go to the gym to at least walk every night this week!  Wish me luck and I will keep you updated.

My menu today:

B: Tea with Truvia and a chocolate Premier Protein shake

L: I have to run to the bank so I will be getting a salad at McDonald's... the grilled chicken bacon ranch salad... I am sure I will not be able to eat all of it but I will keep it on my desk all afternoon and nibble occasionally.

D: 3 oz of grilled chicken, moistened with some balsamic vingarette....we will see how it tastes and 1/4 cup of GG brussel sprouts.

S: 1 cup FairLife 2% milk with 2 tablespoons of ovaltine.

Totals: Calories - 764, Protein - 102, Carbs - 49, Sugars - 24, Fats - 24

Vits/water going in! Exercise - gym, baby!

I know if I had to go to the gym I would not exercise as much as I have been doing.  I have a stationary bike that I am on religiously every day.  I also have several sizes of handweights, a good jumprope (that I haven't used in a while), exercise ball, yoga mat, and I can finally do 30 situps and 30 (modified) push ups at once.  It's a start.  I use the weights 3 times a week, some standing, some while on the balance ball.  I am walking more, but do not have a pedometer or fitbit, but plan on getting one so I can keep track.  I know I am nowhere near 10,000 steps though.

The gym is not out of the way for me... and I am a couch potato! I would love to say that if I had home equipment that I would use it, but I don't think I would... unless Chris Powell would outfit my house the way he does for the people on his show! Also, I know this sounds silly but going to the gym and seeing everyone work out makes me more inspired.  I have got to get a more active lifestyle and part of that is leaving the house for me because I have used it as a safe haven too long!

AV glad you like the granola! #Notmyfault .... hahaha. I did my first 5K, it was fun but the whole bubble thing was a little anti-climatic. It was Bubblepalooza -  there should have been more bubbles! LOL. Then had a picnic Sunday afternoon with one of my community based WLS support groups. Really nice, at a lake so we all took a nice walk around the lake before eating. People brought their kids and grandkids. Pintas, hula hooping, games -fun.

B: Homemade Hazenut Latte with fairlife milk

S: Pumpkin yogurt, mandarin oranges

L: Costco Chicken salad, lettuce

S: Protein bar

D: BBQ Chicken thigh, spinach, tomatoes

S: Premier protein hot chocolate

Premier protein hot chocolate... are you just heating a shake???  Must know!  And, must try!

I am editing this.... forgot to say... Yay for you for the 5K!  Sorry, the bubble were not as exciting as expected. But, like I said Friday, if someone would have been blowing bubbles at me after almost 3 miles of running, I would have smacked them!  You, however, look quite awesome, crossing the finish line!

Thanks! 2 weeks ago I was at a conference and all I had in my hotel room was a Chocolate Premier Protein. I knew from a long time ago they said on their website it was OK to heat it. My room had a microwave so I did it and I loved it. Wonderful nightcap. It will definitely be in the rotation with the cooler weather coming. When it is cold out I will do herbal tea at night too, but sometimes you need something more and sometimes you need chocolate.

Good Morning All,

Long time no post and man, the post is happening this morning!  I love seeing all of the great input.  Sounds like everyone is really getting into fall, I'm so jealous, in So Cal it was over 100 this weekend.  I'm ready to bust out some fall clothes for sure. Everyone's pics today look amazing..Phibbmom you look FANTASTIC!  Anny, I love the apple orchard pics (and the super cute jacket!), NYMom, congrats on your first 5K, you look amazing as well and clearly keep working your program.

I keep plugging along as well.  I haven't lost much over the last 6 months, but I haven't gained either.  I stay pretty diligent, but as always there are things I can do better.  I've started following a Whole30 "light" program (in that I would say 85% of the time I"m compliant...until cheese, and but I figure a little cheese here and there is acceptable...oh and wine, which is less acceptable).  Anyways, like Anny, I think it's time to step up the accountability, so here's my menu for the day:

Time since surgery: 1 yr, 9 months

B - Almond flour toast w/ 1 tbsp almond butter

L - 3 turkey meatballs w/ "sunshine sauce" (it's in the Whole30 book, but it's basically like an all natural peanut sauce, w/o peanuts) and cut veggies (bell peppers, sugar snap peas, cucumbers)

S - Steve's Paleogoods Buffalo chicken jerky (I'm obsessed with this stuff, it's by far the most moist jerky I've found...I've tried a few of the other flavors and haven't loved them, but the buffalo chicken is awesome)!  Mamata, it's replaced my love of the Krave jerky.

D - I'm going out to dinner, but I already looked at the menu and I'm going with my old standard tuna tartare (which is no hardship, b/c it's one of my very favorite foods).

E - None planned, but a nice long walk at lunch is in the cards

W/V - On track

Have a great week everyone!
