Yeah, my son is 10 and pretty big for his age.  Maybe I'm worried that one of them will hurt the other.

At 5 1/2 months out I still cannot eat enough to get all my protein in, so I still have 1 protein drink a day, for breakfast :)

The only way I get all of my protein in is by having a protein shake daily. And, heck, they told me the other day that I should be getting at least 100 grams in a day!  I am going to have to revisit Eggface's blog to get some of her protein shake and protein ice cream ideas because there is NO way I can get 100 grams of protein a day in food alone.

Good morning,

I like to have a snack in the late morning and one at about 8:00 p.m.  Usually babybel w/ a few crackers in the morning and either sugar free pudding or yogurt in the evening.  Ocassionally, I change it up with a piece of fruit.  I try to keep my carbs under 50 grams per day, but have not been doing as well lately.  Today looks good though.

Time since surgery:  5 months

B:  Premier Protein Shake

S:  Babybel & Mary's gone crackers  (6)

L:  Leftover pork tenderloin 2.5 oz. and roasted zucchini, mushrooms & onions (1/2 cup)

D:  Baked boneless chicken breast, green beans

S:  L&F Greek key lime yogurt

Cals:  618  Carbs: 34  Fat:  18, Protein: 80

I'm very sore today (out of nowhere it feels like the stitches are ripping!) so I am going to take a day off of anyting other than walking to avoid any twisting and turning.

My calorie distribution tends to have most of them in the mid to late afternoon.  The way my job is, I generally don't get to have lunch until 2:00 or so.

The past couple of days have been difficult.  My grandmother passed away on Sunday, and my immediate response was to turn to food the way I used to, hiding at home, and not venturing forth to work or the gym.  Thank God for my pouch...  I've thrown the rest of the carby foods I bought away and am starting again.

B: Protein shake

S: Coffee

L: Tomato soup and avocado

S: Protein shake

D: Protein shake

W/V: Started

E: One hour in the pool

Cals: 793  Prot: 85.5 g  H2O: At least 48 oz, as I'll be drinking all day.

Asrai returning home,
