I just wanted to attack a container of Cool Whip with a spoon

When my DH is doubting my food choices he'll say, "are you suppose to be eating that?"  I'll reply, "it's on the list."  It doesn't go any farther than that.  He never challenges to see the list he knows doesn't exist.  His silence is so loud.

Sugarfree Cool Whip was an everyday treat for me for a long time.  I had it with sugarfree jello, ate it frozen in place of vanilla ice cream and added it to my yogurts, sugarfree pudding and protein ice creams.  At 10 calories per tablespoon, it was a great way for me to enjoy a creamy, flavorful treat.

That's how I hoped to be able to enjoy it when I bought it. The problem is, once I have 2 TBSP, I get an overwhelming urge to go back for another cup of the stuff.

A cup is 16 tablespoons and 160 calories.  It is not a bad dessert.  I got in the habit of adding the two tablespoons to yogurt which made the yogurt very creamy.  I had a yogurt flavor called Key Lime Pie and with the cool whip it tasted like a piece of pie to me.

There were times when I ate a cup frozen Cool Whip in place of ice cream and a cup was very satisfying.  I used to make a brownie in a mug, add the frozen Cool Whip and sugarfree chocolate syrup and have that in place of one of my meals.

I just made sure I tracked it on My Fitness Pal.  It did not cause cravings like real ice cream would have done and I could have eaten a half gallon of that before surgery.

Good point; it might not be a problem if I plan for the amount I'm eating and am able to stop myself from gorging. I don't know if it's the air whipped in or what, but I find it VERY filling too. I thought yogurt may have been a better choice, but I didn't need any more protein for the day, and I could have done half a cup of Cool Whip for the same calories and a lot less sugar. Interesting! Maybe I'll plan to make the rest into PB2 whip and put it in individual portion containers.

The Key Lime Pie yogurt is my favorite Cool Whip mix-in!
