Okay, so I am going to be the odd man out... I would love to get out and work in the yard with my husband! Nowadays, you just can't budge him out of the house and when we were young, he would bark orders at you until you wanted to hit him over the head with a shovel! But, to actually get out and work together with your hubby and him not getting pissy, would be kind of fun!  Guess this comes from growing up on a farm... when we were working in the fields or in the barns, we always had fun together... my Dad was easy to work with (you had to do things right!), my sisters were fun, my brother in law was great to work with, etc.

My weekend was boring but I have a busy week ahead. I am leaving work early to go for my 6 month check up... God, I hope I weigh less than 300 lbs there... I HATE weighing in the afternoon!  The next 3 days are going to be 10 hr workdays and then I am taking off on Friday so we can get ready to finally have our yard sale on Saturday!  I cannot wait to clean my house out of all of our junk!!! We are packed in like sardines!

My menu today:

B: Tea with Truvia and a chocolate Premier Protein shake

L: Chobani Spice Pumpkin yogurt

S: 1/4 Premier Protein Yogurt Peanut Crunch protein bar and 1 oz of sharp cheese

D: 3 oz deli ham with laughing cow cheese and sauteed zucchini

Totals:  Calories - 754, Protein - 80, Carbs - 43, Sugar - 23, Fats - 32

Vits/Water: going in, Exercise - gym... treadmill, recumbent bike, weight machines

Have a good day!

I never said my husband wasn't an asshole during family fun time.  Because he absolutely was.  My favorite thing I did was mow the lawn because I got to wear ear plugs.  LOL

I love big protein shakes, early out they helped with my liquid intake as well, I struggled with that for a long time. 2 questions - How much protein in the shakes? I know my surgeon's nutritional team, and I've seen it written elsewhere, don't suggest more than 30-ish grams per meal as your body can only absorb so much at a time. Also can you drink it in 30 minutes? Second- (maybe third-LOL) question -  Do you add any unflavored protein to the soup? I know every plan is different, are you still on liquids? An unflavored protein powder I love in this one- (mixes well, and good taste)

Unflavored Protein

You may have considered all these questions - in that case 'never mind'

Hi NYMom222:

No, I actually hadn't considered these questions, so thank you for asking them-  The shake is actually going to be drunk throughout the day as part of the liquids-  I just didn't have time to post that.  In total, there is 73.5 grams of protein. Good point!  And I'm totally going to get some unflavored protein powder-  It never occurred to me to add it to the soup.  Brilliant!

Thank you,

-LB

I have all the fixin's for Buffalo Chicken salad, so maybe that needs to go on the rotation this week. I am in a food rut, staring aimlessly into my fridge wishing something different would jump out at me. I found this Crockpot Bolognese Sauce recipe Friday night... which is an italian meat sauce with like 3 kinds of meat, red wine, veggies, - so not standard fare. I had made it once but it was labor intensive- so Crockpot version? I'm in. Bought all the ingredients yesterday and figured I'd make it last night and let it cook through the night. It wouldn't fit in my crockpot... turns out mine is only a 4qt. Boo.... SO right now it is in the oven cooking tightly sealed in a roasting pan. I figured that was easier than having to keep an eye on it stovetop. I will have enough sauce for me and all my neighbors. I bought a Spaghetti Squash at Trader Joe's and in this case buying by the piece works out way cheaper than by the pound. I don't usually like buying them because they are so expensive.

Fall Allergies kickin' my butt this weekend. Wednesday in my Monthly weigh-in recording. (I record weekly on Wednesdays and Monthly on my surgiversary date) I am at like 8 and a fraction for the month and hoping for 10. Last month(month 13) I only lost 2lbs and was worried I was screeching to a halt... Weight loss is different now, I will bounce around a number for a week or two and then suddenly drop in one week...

B: Tea

S: Mango madness no sugar with Whey (Tropical Smoothie)

L: salad, grilled chicken

S: Kind protein bar

D: Spaghetti Squash with Bolognese sauce

S: Premier Protein hot Chocolate (My new nightcap - just heat it up)

E: 45 min rebounder

I have yet to buy a spaghetti squash because they are a tad bit expensive and I don't know what they taste like. I mean, they can't be that gross because they are a squash and have a pumpkiny kind of look to them.  So, are they good?? Because I love spaghetti sauce and pasta noodles just don't sit well and I don't really want them anyway.  I have done the zuchinni spirals and love them but I need a new spiralizer! (Don't make that comment every day, do ya?) And, when you cook the spaghetti squa**** just kinda noodles itself, right?

Please teach me!!!

Yes they make spaghetti like strands - more of a soft angel hair, not a strong flavor. They are stupidly expensive that is why I don't usually buy them. I bought a spiralizer over the summer and haven't gotten the hang of it yet. Trader Joe's sells the squash by the piece rather than by the pound so it was much more reasonable. I saw online to try roasting it rather than steaming in microwave, so I am going to try that so it has less moisture... When you slice it open it is full of seeds, so you deseed it - bake the halves, usually I microwave iupside down on a plate with a little water and covered with saran wrap... once cooked you take a fork and pull/scoop the strands out. My favorite way is butter, parmesan and garlic powder.... pre WLS-life :)
