I just left my primary care Dr's office for my medical clearance appointment. She got the paperwork from my surgeon this morning and worked me into her schedule this afternoon! So now I'm just waiting on the surgeons office to send off for my insurance approval.....yay! I'm so ready to get this moving along.

I live in Juneau, Alaska. We don't have the health care system you guys gave so I have to have it approved through my medical insurance company, AETNA.

That would be awesome! When I called them I was told that if the surgeon sends everything in correctly; it will take them 3-5 business days.

I actually got a letter in the mail the days after the surgeons office sent it for approval. I think I got the letter before my Surgeon did. I have United Healthcare.

I'm just so ready to get going on this. I have to stay in Anchorage 7-10 days after my surgery so I've got to get a place to stay and book my flights...none of which I can do without specific dates. We are aiming for the first or second week on November.
