New Pain after 9 Weeks?

The last couple of days I have been feeling some twinges in my lower abdomen (below and to the right of my belly button), but this afternoon it's much worse. The twinges have turned to tugging/pinching and it feels like I'm back to two weeks post op, when I could feel the stitches pulling. I haven't resorted to pain meds but I might need to consider them for sleeping tonight.

I haven't done anything out of the ordinary. I'm active but nothing crazy, and nothing new in my routine. I'm getting in vitamins/liquids/protein with no issues.

Any ideas? Is this part of the healing process or something to notify the doc about?

The bariatric team needs and appreciates questions of concern because that's how they learn what common issues WLS patients have.  My puny, uneducated guess would be scar tissue buildup or hernia.  Friendly warning to all:  straining from constipation started at about 3 months out and turned into a problem I should have attacked with more vengeance.  If I had, I think my recent bowel obstruction/hernia surgery could have been avoided.

I had scar tissue pulling on good tissue that sent pain from my belly button all the way around my right side to the center of my back. It started around week 3 and was horrible. What worked for me was gently massaging the area, switching from a heating pad to ice packs, and taking pain medicine at night to help me sleep. Not sure if this is what you have going on, but maybe the massaging the area will help. I'd also check on the constipation thing. If you aren't going "regularly" it can cause some weird pain as well.  And from what I am learning on here, being regular means way different things to people because our bodies are all so different.

Check with your doctor if you are able.

Praying you start to feel better soon.
