Vitamins

My surgery was 7/31. I was just told by MD that I can take small pills. Progress. I break my pills up instead of pulverizing.  Tastes way better. Will change over vitamins next round.

I have read a ton of responses about vitamins and I am starting to wonder if I am missing something. I go to a support group for weight loss patients and a bunch of the girls there recommended a chewable multi from ProCare Health. I am in Canada but have ordered it from the States and it is $13.99 for 30 pills. You take one in the morning. I take extra Calcium/D3 2 tabs at lunch and 2 tabs at dinner. I also take 1 iron tab at bedtime. I am 7 months post op and have had my labs done at 3 months and again at 6 months. I only started taking the iron in the last month because my hemoglobin was a teeny bit low. It just seems to me that a lot of people are making the whole vitamin process more difficult than it needs to be. Like someone said "there has to be an easier way..." There is...find a more complete multi and take it or am I totally off base?

I am a VSG pt and too use the chewable Bariatric vitamin from Pro Care.  So far labs are good.  Last week I ordered and they had dropped in price from $16.99 to $11.99 plus shipping for a 30 day supply.  Using Fusion previously and the price was double....it still looks like Grim has the best deal!!

I get the BariActiv from ProCare Pharmacy Care. My order includes 2, 60 ct. Multi Vitamins, 1, 120 ct. Calcium + D3 & Magnesium, 2 bottles of Iron and 4 Nascobal Nasal sprays (B12). We checked into my insurance and because the doctor prescribed them, and I signed up for auto-pay, My insurance covers most of the cost each month. I only pay $12.50 per month. The only problem I'm having with this program is that my first shipman arrived a week before my surgery and each month's shipment seems to be showing up a week earlier.  I suddenly find myself with an extra box of supplies.  So I JUST opened a new box, and another one arrives.  It makes me do a double-check and recount to make sure I haven't missed any dosages!!

12.25.08 - Starting Weight: 408...7.30.09 - Surgery  Weight: 336

 6.2.15 - Revision Surgery (Lap removal/RNY) Wt: 295

Thanks. I just got a prescription and will try insurance. I am thinking of getting a few months supply since this will be lifelong.
