Good morning!  The weather is lovely this morning, although it's supposed to get hot again this weekend.  I'm ready for fall!  My "eat back every calorie you burn from exercise" mandate from my surgeon and primary care doc is not going so well, so I have another appointment today with the program dietician AND psychologist.  Fun times.  Although I'm supposed to be training for a half marathon in November, I may skip exercise all together just so I don't have to eat all flipping day (and night)!!  Here's the food plan:

B: Ground turkey, spinach and mozzarella cheese

S: Skinny vanilla latte and somersaults

L: Left over New York Strip/Quinoa Salad/Grapes

S: Light and fit strawberry cheesecake and peanut butter

D: Pork loin and salad

S: unsure at this point.  Depends on if I run.  If I do, I need to add in a higher calorie snack to meet my nutritional macros.

Totals:  Cal 1,106 (without my post exercise snack) Protein: 105g; Fat: 39g; Carbs: 75g

Have a great day everyone!!

OMG!  I could never "eat bake every calorie you burn from exercise"!  I would be grazing all day long!!  Us endurance athletes have to exercise and not eat the world.  If we ate all the time when would we ever have time to exercise??

I am having a seriously difficult time with it.  I'm training for a half marathon and am burning a bunch of calories (I wear a heart rate monitor, so I'm pretty exact).  On Sunday I burned 1090 cals so basically had to eat 2500 cals for the day.  I ate LITERALLY all day (My first meal was before my run at 6:00 am)and couldn't do it while still making good choices.  It really sucks.  If it wasn't medically necessary there's no way I would even be trying!

Pumpkin, pumkin, pumkin.... aahhhh!!! Must find this pumkin cheesecake whipped yogurt of which you speak! Also, someone mentioned a caramel apple yogurt yesterday or earlier... I am offically on the hunt. I have found the Chobani Flips pumpkin and the Chobani pumpkin spice (haven't ate it yet tho). The Flips one was okay, would eat it again.

So, I went home from work sick as hell yesterday afternoon... felt like I was going to puke plus have the big D, all at once... not a pleasant work activity so I split the scene! Then when I got home, nothing. Just sat on the couch feeling miserable... I don't think it was something I ate... I think it was a bug mixed with a finicky pouch... not fun but I napped and overcame it! About 9 P, I remember my anti-nausea meds... but the moment had passed.

And, drum roll please.... after an unpleasant evening... this morning's weigh in revealed... 299.4 lbs!!!!!!  YAY!!!!!!!  Remember, I am on a longer journey than most of you.  I have not officially documented this awesome event because I only count my weigh in on Monday mornings and given yesterday's events, my numbers could pop back up. But, still... it has been since 1999 since I have been under 300 lbs!  I am dumbstruck!  God, I hope I don't embarrass myself by telling complete strangers!

Back to today's menu:

B: Tea with Truvia and a chocolate Premier Protein shake

L: 3 oz of pulled pork and 1/2 cup of coleslaw

D: P3 pack of chicken, peanuts and cheese (didnt eat yesterday) before gym

S: after gym... 1  1/2 oz of Cabot's Seriously Sharp cheese and 1/2 cup frozen blueberries

Totals: Calories: 982 (little high), Protein - 83, Carbs - 43, Sugar - 14, Fats - 58 (little high from the cheese)

Vits/Water: going in. Exercise - gym with a friend (we missed last night)

Everyone have a most awesome day!

Highest weight - 440 lbs, Surgery weight - 395 lbs, Current weight - 291 lbs.
