Can you lose too much?

Let me guess, you have a good support system and receive positive comments more so than negative comments about your appearance?    Just last night, a fellow WLS support group member who has "lost too much" stated she has a weak support system and regrets WLS. It feels surreal the most unhappy support group member is the thinnest one in the room while the majority of us sit with regain.

You are correct.  Most of the people say you look great.  There are others who ask about my health and one person in particular who knows I had RNY tells me I am way too thin and need to gain 5 lbs.  I tell her I am in a healthy BMI finally and being monitored by my doctor.  She has still said the "gain 5lbs speech" to me 2 more times.  My doctor told me these are usually people who are overweight themselves and not used to seeing someone at a healthy BMI.  So not sorry I have my tool, healthy and off meds and wear a size 2.  I will take those issues all day long.  Thank you all!

I am 16 months out and have lost too much weight according to my PCP and my mirror. She is insisting that I gain 10 lbs. I am not trying to lose weight and am adding 2 shakes a day to help. I remember thinking at the beginning of this journey that I would be happy at a size 16 and I am a size 6! I have a coworker that tells me every time I see her not to lose anymore weight, like I don't see myself that I need to gain a little. I think your body settles and then you gain some back. Who would think that we would ever WANT to gain weight again?
