Dumping, or something else? (Possible TMI for the squeamish)

So I had a very bad night. This weekend my husband bought some "crispy rice rollers" at Costco -- all carb, I know, but only 10g and 45 calories apiece, so I figured one wouldn't be terrible paired with a protein for dinner. Well, old addictions die hard -- after my husband went to bed last night, I wound up eating way more of them than I should have. They've now been moved to his "work lunch" shelf of food in the pantry I don't touch.

I didn't get an RH episode, which so far has been my only side effect of overdoing the carbs, but I was in the bathroom a good bit of the night. No nausea or vomiting, but I felt like demons were trying to release themselves from my bowels. I didn't think dumping at first because everything was at least solid -- there was just a LOT of it. This morning it continued and I stayed home from work, and after getting some fluids in, things turned a bit more...liquid (sorry for that visual).

Was this my first dumping episode or something else? I didn't get shaky or feel like I was dying. Just a whole lot of urgent trips to the bathroom, and a whole lotta poo.

Could it be that it just didn't agree with you?  Even before surgery, if I ate something that wasn't really good for me, I'd have digestive issues.

I had one episode that I am absolutely sure was dumping, but that was when i took a dose of liquid tylenol 3 on an empty stomach.  That stuff is 7.5% alcohol.  I got the sweats, and my arms and legs ached horribly.  I just felt awful.  the good thing about it is that I only took 25ml, so it actually passed quickly and I didn't get diarrhea or puke.

That's very possible, but I'd still like to know what the mechanism is behind something not agreeing with you, mainly just out of curiosity. I doubt I'm gonna get that info though, lol. Did I actually have an RH episode and not test at the low point? Was I just really constipated and had a lot to move out? Life is so full of mysteries!

Did the product contain sugar alcohols? Because that sounds exactly like my weekend of overdoing it on home baked goods ( scones and homemade milk chocolates ) containing sugar alcohols. ( Erythritol and xylitol to be specific.) Normally those two S.A.s don't affect me like that, but then again I don't normally eat items with S.A.s in them two days in a row.

It doesn't really sound like dumping, but it sounds like something in them didn't agree with you. Maybe the rice itself? Have you had any rice or rice products since surgery? Corn products still do a number on my innards.

Edited to add:

I found the items, I think...Crunchy rice rollers by Bamboo Lane? Is this them? If so, the ingredients are: white rice, natural cane juice, rice syrup, agar

Those would have kept me on the pot too!!

No SAs...only ingredients are white rice, cane sugar, rice syrup, and agar. Not much sugar each, but I had 32g worth by the time I finally put them away. I have had rice before, but not nearly in that quantity -- any before was just what was stuck to the meat I ate out of meat+rice dishes. You might be right; rice might just not be my friend anymore.

4gr of sugar=1 tsp.

32 gr of sugar=8 tsp... that is reality... 8 tsp of sugar is a lot...

once, long before weight loss surgery, I ate a whole bag of sugar free jelly belly jelly beans.  On the back of the package it warns to only eat a few to see how you react.  i didn't, I ate the WHOLE BAG.

I was on the toilet for hours and hours.  They should prescribe that stuff when prepping for a colonoscopy, it works better!

I did the same thing as a teenager when those fat free chips with Olestra first came out! I ate the whole bag and was in a world of hurt!
