Saturday we went hiking!!!!!  Not only did I actually LIVE through this, but it was easy and FUN!!  YAY!!  My 4 year old hiked the WHOLE mountain up and down without so much as a whimper!  The "baby" hiked most of it also!  I even had him in the backpack carrier and still was fine!!!  WAAAHOOO

Sunday I had to go shopping...UGH  I am going to a baby shower in Rhode Island at a friggin country club.....so I had to buy something nice that actually fits me.  I tried on eleventybillion outfits and finally found one that fit and would be appropriate.  I have found that I totally SUCK at being a girl....and I have ZERO fashion sense.  I need a personal shopper....but I can't afford to shop at the places that have personal shoppers! LOL

I also had to break down a buy a belt this morning!  I hate belts, but its better then hiking my jeans up every 12 seconds

I never wore a belt til I had WLS at age 52 because I was always heavy and didn't want ANY focus on my waist(or lack of one!) Now I wear one proudly every day! Today I have a pretty braided one in my size 00 Silver jeans! Who is this person?!

I had a pretty uneventful weekend, myself and agree AV, Monday morning is biting me in the ass!  Had to clock in for work to do a bunch of data entry for a group of new-hires for our company - 800 people and they didn't get any paperwork in time but they insist we need to PAY them on time. They think its soooo easy.  Oh well, got to make-up some hours lost due to being out for that eye surgery.

Good news though, I can see! Colors are finally normal and it's AMAZING how well I can see out of the surgery eye. Now my former 'good' eye that hasn't had surgery is impressively cloudy. I wonder how I was able to function before last week!  Next eye surgery will tentatively be done in November, depending on how well I do with my new WLS!

Surgery Status: 2 weeks from today!

B: Babybel Light Cheese & 2 Slices Bacon (Bad idea... my lap-band does NOT like solid food first thing in the morning... totally sticking to protein shakes from now on!)

L:  Premier Protein Chocolate Shake

D:  Leftover Cauliflower/Ground Turkey-Stuffed Bell Peppers

S: 2oz Sweet & Hot Beef Jerky

TOTALS:  Calories:  845   |  Carbs:  26  |  Fat:  37 |  Protein:  108  |  Fiber: 7 | Sugar:  13

Have a great day, everyone!

Yay on the eye surgery going well!!!

And, my pouch is the same as your lap band... solid dense protein is not my friend 1st thing in the morning. Come to think of it, I was never a big eater of heavy breakfast pre  WLS.  I stick with a shake and ease my way into food.

Thank you! I'm so relieved too. As someone who previously had issues even putting in eye drops, being conscious for surgery was not something I would wish upon anyone, ever.  It was so scary!  But whew, worth it!
