This weekend was super busy!  I taught swimming lessons Saturday morning, attempted to go for my last long bike ride Saturday afternoon ****il 19 miles in my tire went flat ), and hung out at home feeling sorry for myself the rest of the night... Sunday was amazing.  I went to Ironman Wisconsin and watched the swim start (3000 people start at once in the lake, it is a sight), then volunteered applying sunscreen (I have never touched so many hot bodies in my life, oh my), taught swimming lessons again in the afternoon, and then forced my husband back downtown to watch people finish IMWI.  It was a great day!  I also finally decided 2017 will forsure be my first full Ironman her in Wisconsin.  I actually got my hubbie's blessing to do it!!

Anyway, here is my plan for today!

Time since surgery: 14 months

B: Coffee with cream and HB Egg

S: 34 degree crackers with wedge of Laughing Cow

L: Chicken Sausage and a few pretzel thins

S: Iced Coffee with cream and green olives

You sound like you had an awesome weekend. Yay, for your husband's blessing on doing the IMWI in 2017! You are so driven... if I could have 1/4 of your commitment to exercise, I would be happy.

Hi All,

I am publicly recommitting to posting on this board every day. Since getting laid off, I have been less organized about meal planning ahead of time. I haven't messed up yet, but I know I should be more proactive about planning, so this is my way of staying accountable.

Today is 8 weeks post-op!

Meal Plan

- Breakfast: decaf coffee with skim, scrambled egg and meatless breakfast patty (this is not sitting too well, at the moment...blergh)

- Snack 1: Edamame

- Lunch: Tuna melts on tomato base

- Snack 2: Greek yogurt

- Dinner: 2 oz Trader Joe's Pesto Genevese Chicken and a few bites of summer squash

- Snack 3: 1 rice cake with reduced fat cream cheese and cinnamon

Calories: 722 / Protein: 77 / Carb: 44 / Fat: 16

Exercise

It's rare beautiful weather day outside of Boston, so I am going on a 5 mile walk/jog this morning around a nature preserve, then have a Yoga class tonight, and probably 30 minutes on the elliptical later, too.

Scrambled eggs have JUST started doing well for me at 6 months!  Hard boiled have been okay but for some reason scrambled eggs were like a rock in my stomach (I will admit that I do not like soft eggs but c'mon!).

Hope you feel better!

Friday night I worked in my yard. Weeds were out of control, and I had to cut my {dying} hostas back. I only got to the front garden along the sidewalk. I also have a lavender plant that bees JUST love so I couldn't work too much in that for fear of being stung. When I tried to work in the garden along the fence a HUGE praying mantis decided he liked things the way they were-- I decided not to argue and called it a night. Saturday I shopped a little. Had super cash at old navy and ventured to see if I could fit anything in the store. I left with a two pair of size 18 jeans, and size large cardigan and tank. I tried on some blouses but my bat wings force me into an XL, where otherwise a L would due. I'm taking back one pair of the jeans..."skinny" is just not the cut for me! Sunday I relaxed and did laundry. I was in a bit of a mood since it was the first cool day and pumpkin flavored everything is advertised now. I made chili for dinner- and allowed myself a small piece of cornbread to go with it.

Time since surgery 4+ months

B: 2 fried eggs, 3 slices Virginia ham (this breakfast is getting old-- going to switch the rotation soon)

L: I so wanted the left over chili- but hubby staked a claim for it tonight to eat while watching football. I'll probably end up eating a Chicken Cesar wrap or salad (sans wrap).

S: Cheese Stick & cashews

D: Roast beef sandwiches (minus the bread for me)

My weekend was not terribly exciting, either.  I took Friday off due to a cold and spent most of my time wrapped up in blankets, trying to snooze off the illness.  Bad news is that I only got in all my protein on one day, never enough water, and a really, really low amount of calories.

Feeling better, though, so today starts anew- and I'm going back to the gym!

Time since surgery: 1 month, 18 days

B: Protein shake

S: Coffee

L: Tomato soup and avocado

S: Protein shake

D: Protein shake and celery soup

W/V: Started

E: 60 min walking/dog paddling in pool

Cal: 828 (est, though it may be lower depending on if I finish lunch)

Prot: 73.5 g

H2O: At least 48 oz, as I'll be drinking all day (not including what I swallow in the pool LOL )

Good morning,

Monday is tough.  I did however get up at 5:00 did 20 minutes (3 miles) on the bike and some weights this morning before my morning rush of getting dd off to school and myself to work.  New hours for the winter 8:00 to 4:30, I have been "off" all morning here with the change.  Also, it's freezing and I had to use my portable heater for my frozen toes.

Weekend was busy with the usual grocery shopping, housework, laundry.  I did manage to sneak in a few for myself and get a badly needed manicure.

Sunday I made crockpot beef stew, got it into the pot by 9:00 am and went shopping with my oldest dd.  Bought myself two cute pair of shoes (Cole Haan)  at Nordstrom Rack and they are for the first time in a very long time not wide width!  That just made my day.

Time since surgery 4+ months

B:  Premier Protein Shake

L:  Turkey & salad greens, homemade vinaigrette

D:  Ground Turkey something or other, burgers, meatloaf, chili, depends on how well it defrosts today!  Most likely will be chili.

S:  L&F yogurt, babybel and Mary's gone crackers

No totals, haven't used MFP yet today.

Nice cool day here in Illinois today and Lily and I have our three miles in already. Saturday hubby and I went to a cowboy shoot--he shot and I kept score for his group. Sunday I had church and the service to officially open our new food pantry building. Not many people showed up but it was good anyway! Post op 3 years two weeks and weight at 119 today. On track with vitamins and fluids so far. Here's the food: B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein powder and half a banana with peanut butter L 1/2 c venison chili 1/2 c beet salad D 1/2 c venison chili and 1/2 c green beans S Greek yogurt with nuts. Yes I am in a chili mood with this cooler weather!
