What's on Your (photo) Friday Menu, RNYers?
Hello all and welcome to Photo Friday! Post 'em if you got 'em! And I got one! LOL This is me and my son waiting for the bus at 6:45am on Tuesday for his first day of 5th grade. If he could just stop getting taller, that'd be super great.
Baseball was fun last night, but we cut out early to attend the "ice cream social" welcome back thing at my son's school. Raise your hand if you think it's a good idea to wear white pants around a bunch of little kids who are eating ice cream. Kids who are holding their bowls of melting chocolate ice cream at my hip level. Yeah, that's what I thought. Oxi Clean FTW, for real. That **** is miraculous. That being said, next time it's jeans. LOL
So, I'm kinda bummed because I weighed and packed my 1/2 oz. of pork rinds to have with my lunch and I must've taken them out of my bag or something because I ain't got 'em. Boo! I'll have to add another snack or something somewhere.

No picture for me today! The only pictures I took this week was of the "baby" eating a teeny Subway sandwich....he looked so damn cute! lol
I ended up going home from work yesterday, had to stop twice on my 15 minute ride home to get sick!! UGH NO FUN!! I spent the rest of the day in bed, until I had to go get the boys from daycare....then I had no choice but to be Mommy and forget about being sick! LOL

So, I’m having a hard time eating. I sometimes gag while putting food in my mouth. I know it’s not a physical problem, so I’m just pushing through it. I hate the way my stomach feels when I eat. I miss carbs. I have a bad craving for mashed potatoes and gravy, or stuffing. Last night my husband made dinner and we had ham steaks, with rice a roni (I refrained from having that) and steamed cauliflower. I had 2 ounces of ham and an ounce and a half of cauliflower. It was so not satisfying. I’m craving, but I’ve been mostly good at avoiding. This morning I brought a boiled egg for breakfast, and as I stopped to be my small decaf with one cream and 2xshots of pumpkin, I ordered a buttered English muffin. I gave half of it to my co-worker, and then literally took 2 bites of the other half and threw the rest away.
I’m wondering if I’ll ever enjoy eating again, or if it’s now just to keep myself alive. I guess I’m feeling down because I used to LOVE eating so much! I love to cook and I just adored trying different things. I know it will get better, but I think I’m just feeling down today because I’m having withdrawals. I’m only 5 ½ weeks out, and it has to be getter.
I think I’m going to track down my local chapter of Over Eaters Anonymous. Maybe they can smack me around until I get my head right.
Heres my plan for the day:
B: HB egg , 2 bites of English muffin with margarine, sm coffee 1 cream and 2x sf pumpkin shot.
S: cheese stick and ½ a package of banana dark chocolate thin addictives (thanks for listing this in your menus. I prefer the cranberry, but wanted to try something different)
L: 2oz of chicken breast, 1oz seasoned brown rice (left overs from Wednesday’s dinner) and 1 oz of steamed carrots.
S: ½ premier protein vanilla (I can’t seem to drink a whole one for the life of me)
D: 3oz of solid albacore tuna, 1 oz of steamed cauliflower.
Totals: Cal 645, Protein 66, Carb 50, Fat 19
I took my vitamins this morning and have been pushing water. I will walk 1 mile tonight for exercise.
Also, here’s a recent picture of me and my youngest Kaladin. He’s a big reason that I had the surgery. I want to be healthy and live long enough for him to grow up.
