Im happy!  Scared, a little.  Have faith in my surgeon 100%.  Have started on the supervised pre op diet as my insurance requires it.  Does anyone have suggestions on foods meals etc?  My surgery date has finally been given it is December 18th.

I'm still on my pre-op diet as well. Right now it's mostly lean protein with minimal fruits, veggies, and whole grain carbs. My total caloric intake ranges from 750 cals -950cals depending on the day. I am allowed small amounts of nuts, dairy, and soy crisps. In a month and 1/2 I've been able to lose over 30lbs. You can do it too! Good luck with everything!

If you have any more questions just hit me up.

I have surgery on Oct 22...I will have to do a 2 week pre-op diet but I did pro-actively start Atkins Phase 1 this week...just to get a jump on weight loss and to get rid of the 20 lbs that I gained when I quit smoking a month ago.  I like the Atkins because I personally think it will be more like how we are going to have to eat after surgery.

Good luck to you in what you choose.  Congrats on a surgery date!
