I had low protein level even though I was eating the recommended 60-80g. So I made 80 my minimum. My surgeon has never required us to count calories, so I didn't worry about it. and Yes sometimes I would just add a second shake. You could also add more real food. More chicken to lunch maybe?

Just got home from my pre-op blood draw. Getting closer each day!  So cool to hear about everyone closet shopping!  I really look forward to doing that myself. :)

Tomorrow is eye surgery. I am scared out of my mind. There's no way I will be able to focus today (pun not intended!), or sleep tonight because I am so nervous!  I'd appreciate any good vibes you can send my way. Hopefully I can stay out of panic mode...

L: 1 Leftover Grilled Bratwurst w/Spicy Mustard

D:  Marinated Chicken Breast sautéed w/ Coleslaw veggies & Bean Sprouts (going for an ‘eggroll filling’ taste!)

S: Babybel Light Cheese & 2oz Sweet & Hot Beef Jerky

You will do great tomorrow, and great 20 days from now with RNY!  Look at how well you are eating as a pre-op!  You are setting yourself up for success, mentally.  Rather than freak out, just think how different your life will be in six months.  Eyes fixed, a new pouch to help limit your intake, and most importantly, the mental fortitude to follow your plan (as you are doing excellent now).  Your life will truly change in the next three weeks, so focus on all the amazing things coming your way!  It's a wild ride, but sooo worth it!

Good luck on the eye surgery tomorrow! You will do great! Remember to square breathe if you become anxious, it works for me.  What I do is breathe in for the count of 4, hold it for the counts of 4, breathe out for the count of 4 and then hold for the count of four and begin again. I remember hearing a radio psychologist talk about this years ago and I tried it.  Google it.

Do try to rest and dream of wonderful things... being able to see well and becoming stronger!

Praying for you and sending good vibes!

The shed shopping sounds awesome!  *high five*

My weekend was... interesting.  I've been in contact with the gym I've joined.  Turns out they are not as handicap accessible as was suggested to me.  The managers have been very nice about it, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to switch to another gym in their chain.  It's nearby, and it's better because everything is on one level and they have stairs to get into the pool rather than a ladder.  Only downside is that they only have one handicap shower, but I think I can manage waiting for it if I need to.  Sure beats having to either navigate a spiral staircase to get to the showers or go through the employee lounge and a storeroom to access an elevator. *nods*  Waiting to hear back today on what the cost will be to switch over.  *crosses fingers*

Hi Kristen and everyone!

I had a great weekend - packed with fun and lacking in sleep!  I also had way too much booze, and pizza one night, and all kinds of crap really, so today feels like a nice reset day.

Time Since Surgery: 21 months

B: One hard-boiled egg, 6 small green olives, .8 oz cheese, 1.5 oz turkey slices

L: Crab cake, guacamole

D: Pesto chicken skewers, feta cheese salad

Not sure on totals yet, since I will also surely have a snack (maybe Light and Fit yogurt). But I seem to be around 1,500 calories these days, and always 70+ g of protein.

Have a great day, all!
