I am about to completely stop caring
Huge and valuable discussion here! I've been away from the boards a couple of days so can't add much....but will say this:
Losing regain after WLS is very, very hard. It's slow. It's tedious. It's NOTHING like losing post op.
But you know that.
Just keep going, and follow the direction you are receiving here. The carbs are likely the culprit!
Thanks Lynn,
Oh my word do I EVER know how hard it is. I have taken the advice here to heart and I am grateful for the feedback, to knock me out of the tunnel vision. I tend to trust the DR and Nutritionist too implicitly and not question. But really, what they have told me to do hasn't worked, so getting advice from people who know what works for them and are the front lines of WLS day-in, day-out is such a valuable resource.
I want to add a few words of encouragement - You are here on OH, so you've not yet stopped caring, which is great! Instead of checking back in 6 months, what about staying around and posting your daily menu? It's a great habit to get into, and the constant support of others doing the same thing is fantastic!
Also, we're all each others' cheerleaders which can be a huge boost if you're struggling.

UPDATE.... Again a huge than you to you all. I started the Atkins induction as recommended by White Dove instead of wanting to crawl into a hole after being called a big fat pig and being told I should go eat a pizza by another member. But then I realized. Pigs are cuter, more intelligent and more lovable than trolls are and moved on. So since I started on the 6th or the 7th. I dropped 12 pounds. I could not believe it. I had a frank conversation with my nurse and expressed my frustration at being given a diet plan that was essentially sabotaging my efforts.
So I am doing what I feel is right for me to make me happy, not the nutritionist. I know it's not a sustainable rate, but I will take it as long as it lasts!
Oh and I have an ulcert that was found incidentally on me endoscopy. Now on meds for at least a year....Boo! BUT NSV. I manage to do 2.5 hours of mountain biking on rough terrane and not die. Never knew I could do that!
So thank you all again for your support. i will update as things progress. Hugs to you all, you made all the difference!
