How interesting !  I'm totally learning from you guys .  Sometimes I run out and four miles later walk back slowly dragging my butt .. bet its dehydration ( other days I'm FINE and i routinely speed skate huge amounts like 50 miles )  I gotta try these shot blocks - where do you buy them?

They have them at sporting goods stores like Sport Mart, Sports Chalet and the like.  They also have them at the running store I go to.  Target stores sometimes carry them.  I always see if I can find them on sale anywhere.  I think REI has them on sale now (or they did last week) and I buy in bulk.

Good morning,

I'm glad someone was in more control, last night I was certainly not.  Hubby made sauce with the fresh tomatoes we had, so we had shrimp and linguine with it.  I was pretty good about the pasta and just a small amount, but later lost it when I found the double chocolate organic cookies.  Those things are amazing.  I ate two.  I'm not proud of myself for that, but damn they tasted amazing.

So back to reality this morning, I promised myself to be good.  My carbs are higher than I'd like, but I was told I needed to up them a bit as well as my calories.  I don't always eat as much as I plan, but sometimes I do.

I probably shouldn't  even post today a cause other than breakfast every meal will be a ?. Little to no food left in the house meant no lunch I could pack and tonight is back to school night so its straight to that after work. Today will be an eating on the run type day. I have protein powder in my desk-- if I can find a single serving of lactaid milk then I've got something covered.

Time since surgery:  4 months

B:  Fried egg 1/2 slice cheese and 2 slices Virginia ham

S:  1/2  Nature Valley protein bar (left over from yesterday)

L:  I'm thinking something along the Chinese lines-- beef and broccoli or chicken in garlic sauce (no rice). Maybe Wendy's Grilled Chicken sandwich... I've got a few options.

D:  This is where the protein shake would be handy... back to school night means I'll be cramped sitting my son's desk for 1.5 hours all the while wising I'd done the surgery sooner to feel less cramped :-)
