I know I have read that weightloss slows at a certain point. But when is that in the process? I am 5 months and 2 days out and have lost 93 pounds so I am HAPPPPPY but was curious when the slow down starts to occur.  I dont want to have it slow down and *think* it was time but then later realize I was doing something wrong....

Wanna make sure I maximize my tool

For many people, caloric malabsorption slows dramatically at around 18 months.  It varies from person to person, but that is a commonly reported time.  You are doing great.  Maximize the time you have with your tool working the easiest.

I am 9 months out and it hasn't slowed yet but I am 8 lbs to goal so I expect it will start soon.  I have heard at the one year mark your honeymoon ends.

Everyone is different... the first 6 months was the fastest... months 6-11 fast -but slower than the first 6 months. I am 13 months out and the last 2 months have been very slow. I still believe I will get where I want to be, and feel soooooo much better... it is just happening slower.

I've read 12-18 months.  For me, weight loss slowed at 12 months with an eternal number of months in gratitude.

It slows gradually, as you have less to lose. The last ten pounds are harder and slower than the first ten.

Think of the graph of your weight loss as the left hand side of a parabola.

I think I still have some malabsorption five years most op .  For one thing if I happen to eat a lot of fat at a meal i see  it come out the other end in the form of yellowish stool. My body also gets rid of it very fast .  Interestingly I only had a proximal RNY( and giant hiatal hernia repair) but my tool still works GREAT Thank God.  I've always been very careful to 1) exercise 2) not out-eat it though

I can not say when it stopped but a couple of years out my iron and potassium were very low.  I had a good lab result this last March so I'm guessing that I'm absorbing more nutrition from my food.  I'm still taking my vitamins 2X a day and dropped the calcium (neglect) for a year but started them again recently.  I do get labs every year or more if needed.

Feelin' great.

All I know is I am about 2.5 months pre-op and I keep watching the scale to closely. I keeps going down gradually, but I think that I am just impatient. Just 20 more pounds and I am out of the 500 club. :)
