3 week stall FINALLY ended!

I'm almost 5 months out from RNY (4/8/15) and was on a *!@$&#! 3 week stall.  I've bounced from 180 to 183.4 and back for 3 weeks. I have to admit that I was kind of freaking out thinking 'this is it - this is all I'm going to lose.'  I've been drinking my water, my protein has been 70 gms a day on average, doing tons of walking and cardio and staying on track with my food (I did let a few carbs creep in a day or three).  This morning, I stepped on the scale, and I'm 178 exactly. Whew. I'm going to step up my exercise - that's the hardest part for me. Gotta keep moving my saggy, jiggly butt!

I am 7 weeks out of RNY and this week has been so frustrating. I weighed 180 last Sunday and all week the only change I saw was lbs up. Today I weigh 184. Holly crap...I have to deal with this stall for a few more weeks. I only let a small slice of pizza in last Monday night and I have been feeling guilty about it all week. I was very tired this week, so not much more exercise than a short walk each day. Happy you got out of your stall. Now I will just stop fussing for two more weeks before I go absolutely bonkers. Thanks for letting me know.

If you step up your exercise, don't be surprised if you stall right away. You'll still be burning fat, but intense extra exercise results in short term fluid retention. It always happens -- get frustrated, go crazy on exercise, stall even more. It all works out in the long run, and you'll be better off with the extra activity. Just be prepared for probable short term disappointment.
