I'm at goal and maintaining my weight loss for over 6 months.  I still have a mid morning protein shake.  It works for me, and I am so used to the routine that I feel that there is no use messing with my success.

I am almost 5 years post op and I still drink a shake on most days mainly because I live alone and don't cook much.. But at 15 months you should be able to get most of your protein from foods...lean meats and legumes and you should always strive to get between 60-90 grams most days because you are in perpetual malabsorptive state. Are you drinking ready made protein drinks? I buy Syntrax Nectar powder which comes in some wonderful flavors and mixes easily in water and costs about $35-40 which lasts me about a month. I always mix it in my morning coffee...just have to add water to it and mix it first then add coffee. Powdered protein does not like ho****er. It will become a gummy mess...

I am 7 years out and still drink one for breakfast for convenience. It's easy to drink in the car on the way to work. Otherwise, I get my protein from food.
