You look so awesome and so happy.  And I don't know about you, but I am finding I am enjoying "blingier" things now than before!!

Also, good luck to your Mom. My Mom had to have a spinal fusion at 85 due to spinal stenosis that would have left her wheelchair and bed bound within a year or so if she didn't have the surgery. It is a very hard recovery and I think my Mom's biggest problem during it was her unrealistic expectations of what she would be able to do after the surgery. And, she wanted quick results... and like you said, it is a long recover. She never advanced past having to use a walker but, she was expecting to be able to walk (and I think run) like she could when she was a little girl!  Nevertheless, the surgery allowed her to live in her own home for the rest of her life (she passed at 91).

I am praying for you and your Mom. Remember, being a caretaker during these times, is hard on YOU, too. So, take care of both you and your Mom.

Happy Labor Day!

Thanks for the kind and supportive words, Icraver. The story of your mom was uplifting, she did great for 86!  My mom is 76 and in really good health to start with, but yes... the recovery is long and hard and we'll both take care of each other.   Mom and I appreciate all the prayers we can get - thank you.

Hope you had a great weekend AV and happy anniversary to you and hubby! I got my walk with Lily donee early this am but no time to post as I had to drive 11/2 hours to my three year appointment with my surgeon. I weighed 120 on their scale down from an all time high of 272. I got the don't lose any more weight lecture and AGAINexplained about my RA and the joint pain I have at the weight where they want me. Because I can't take NSAIDS my rheumatologist wants me at the low end of normal so that is where I stay. My blood work was perfect too! So a good visit overall. Stopped at Goodwill and got three new shirts and at Target and got new tennies. Stopped at a red mex place and had fish tacos. I ate one and brought two home for supper! Yum!! Here's the eats: B 1/2'c steel cut oats with protein powder and half a banana with peanut butter L fish taco, two chips with salsa and some guacamole salad S whole wheat crackers with peanut butter D leftovers S Greek yogurt with nuts. Have a great weekend everyone!

Glad your doctor appt went well and your bloodwork looks good. I hope they do understand why you need to keep the low weight... I would definitely go by your rheumatologist's recommendations. RA is such a cruel disease... love that you are able to battle it off with all your Lily walking and all of your other exercising.

You are a great example of making it work!
