7 weeks out.. 1 rehospitalization with peptic ulcer... Nausea so bad unable to eat.
I had RNY 07/14 and did amazing until 5 weeks post-op.. after a rehospitalization found to have ulcer covering over 40% of my pouch. On meds for the ulcer.. pain is not as bad.. but still having pain..the nausea however seems to be getting worse instead of better. So much nausea having a hard time eating anything.. and now dizzy and headachy.. Anybody have any nausea tips. On Zofran but that seems to increase my headache.. feeling desperate... I dont have a ton to lose and yet still losing about a pound a day due to not able to eat/keep food down.

Are you getting at least 64 ounces of fluid, daily? Dehydration can cause nausea, dizziness, and headaches. You may need to force yourself to drink. Set a timer for every 15 minutes and keep sipping all day if necessary. If you don't get enough fluids in orally, you will end up in the hospital with a needle in your arm getting fluids.
I am struggling with the fluids.. but trying hard.. get close to the 64 ounces.. enough liquids I still get up in the night to pee.. I can seem to keep down and handle water with lemon. I got so dehydrated with the ulcer before I couldnt pee at all :(
Thanks guys.. I am so nauseous that pretty much anything including sf jello, popsicles, etc.. all make me gag. I am truly in a bad place. I wish I could go on walks but at this point I am so dizzy that it is not possible.. when I stand up my ears feel all funny and fluid filled.. I just keep trying to sip water. At this point if I am getting 2 ounces of food/fluids other than water i am lucky. My surgeon will see me on the 14th.. and my family doctor is no help at all.
