Huh? Your original post simply asks for "positive suggestions," and others gave (non-negative) input on faux-meat.

Hello

I need a little help if possible.....I am no longer having the taste for chicken and red meat anymore. Funny thing is I like Boca products. Wanting to know if I continue with fish and seafood but switch red meat and chicken to Boca products will I continue with my weight loss. I see that there is just as much if not more protein per serving. Please all positive suggestions are appreciated.

You original post said nothing about only people who gave up red meat and chicken were to reply.

This looks good, but I hope it doesn't have any incidentally added hormones and prozac.......wait....prozac ok.

Ok everyone I deserve that especially the last post!!!!! I was taking something that was said the wrong way instead of looking at the content. I will look farther into protein supplements before making such a big decision. I just hate the shakes and I am not really liking chicken and red meat. Just please look over my last post if I offended anyone that was not my intentions.

No problem.

The list of things I don't LIKE to eat is too long to print here. If I don't like it, I don't eat it. There are certain categories and nutrients we need to be healthy. It's just a matter of finding foods we DO like to meet those needs.

The much bigger issue for all of us is finding ways to STOP eating the crap we DON'T need, that has no nutrients we need -- but taste yummy. When I figure out an easy way to do that, I'll let everyone know.

My problem with foods like "boca burgers": is that it needs a factory to make it. or rather a few factories to process all the stuff that goes in to make the "burger".

it is so "unnatural " as they can be... "frankenfood" ..

Ingredients: WATER, SOY PROTEIN CONCENTRATE, WHEAT GLUTEN, CONTAINS LESS THAN 2% OF METHYLCELLULOSE, SALT, CARAMEL COLOR, DRIED ONIONS, YEAST EXTRACT, SESAME OIL, HYDROLYZED WHEAT PROTEIN, NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR (NON-MEAT), DISODIUM GUANYLATE, DISODIUM INOSINATE. CONTAINS: SOY, WHEAT, SESAME.soy proteins, hydrolyzed wheat protein..

when chicken -most of the time has.. chicken...

if you want to eat the red meat or chicken - don't eat it - but I wouldn't substitute that with "frankenfood".. maybe once in a while... but not every day or even a few times a week..

when I look at food OI ask myself how much is it processed and if it require a whole list of chemicals and a chemical factory to make that... (you can google "how soy protein is made" )

There are many no meat choices like eggs, cheese, yogurt, beans, etc...

Just do a web search "non meat protein source".  So many helpful lists will pop up.

Prepared food that we don't make ourselves always seem to be trouble especial when regularly used.  So, you can learn how to make your own burgers, bars, even protein drinks.  There too is everything that comes in it's natural form that naturally has a higher protein content.

I have never been a big meat eater and ALWAYS got grossed out at times since I was a kid.  But for me, I need not be a vegetarian - me, I would probably die.  Lol but true.  Always issues since I was a young adult with crashing iron levels (pre-pre-op).  So I keep my options open.

If you're not much for chicken or beef, just skip them-- if eating shrimp, eggs, and pork (for example) makes you happy and hit your protein goals, then go for it! :)
