TMI...GasPains

WOW.  Calm down.  I wasn't being a critic.  I was stating information that I KNEW to be correct based on my experience and what the medication info actually states on the package.  I have been on Omeprozole for 28 years.  I think I may know a little bit about this medication.  I ALSO know what acid can cause since I had severe GERD for over 25 years, I have been diagnosed with Barrett's Esophagus, and multiple surgeries for gastric problems.

You did imply that omeprozole would prevent gas.  The fact is, omeprozole will not prevent gas and that Gas-X was not going to be effective on post surgical gas..  That is ALL I was saying.

Get over yourself!

I don't care what you've been on, my response was based on MY experience.  I didn't imply anything YOU took it that way. I know exactly what I typed. Like I said focus on your reply to the person. I don't need to get over myself, I am over YOU. Take care and have a GREAT day!

I just stated the facts.  Omeprozole is expensive when you buy it over the counter.  I just wanted the OP to have the correct information so she wouldn't go out and buy this medication, thinking it would prevent gas when it won't.

I'm happy you never experience the terrible gas pain that comes with surgery, but the omeprozole DID NOT prevent you from getting it.

I wish you the very best of luck.  I think that you have made a number of enemies by attacking me, needlessly.  I doubt there will be many willing to help you on this site when you really need it.  I was really not trying to **** you off.... and FYI.... this is a public forum and anyone can respond to any post they want to.

Like I said before and I will say it AGAIN and then I am DONE because all this when MY post was taken out of context is uncalled for. I NEVERRRRR said it prevented gas.....I said from the gas AFFECTING me in addition to WALKINGGGGG. As far as enemies...that is hilarious because I'm not on this site to make friends. I could give a DAMN about people who can't mind their business not liking or caring for me! I don't need a cosignor in life. I didn't attack you so if you feel attacked that is on YOU. You should have NEVER came to my response commenting something you "thought" I meant whether this is an OPEN forum or not. Everybody that has something to say can keep it moving! I stated MYYYYY experience. People are quick to and have time to worry about what someone else is saying. The only thing that I agree on is this being an open forum and we are ALL here to chime in but then be CLEAR on what you're chiming in to.

I wish there was an ignore button to let people know what kind of person they are about to deal with.  She's no longer worth my time.  If she runs into trouble and needs answers or help, it WONT come from me.

You most definitely implied that Omeprazole would help with gas.  And your response to Rocky was ridiculously over the top and rude.

Apparently it's not just gas that you're full of. What a nasty rude response given with absolutely no justification.

I don't need a link for a medication that a medical professional put me on thank you.  If you wish to leave a solution to her initial question at hand then do so, don't come replying to what I said especially if you didn't read it clearly. I never said it prevented gas I said it PREVENTED the gas from AFFECTING ME as far as severe discomfort. When acid is kept down your chances of swallowing as much are lessened/air intake/ causing MORE GAS. Maybe YOU  should lookup what acid can cause. I also never said gas x wouldn't work, that is for immediate relief once you're already in pain. Which is why I mentioned walking to her way before this blog was even posted. All that air from being pumped up for surgery has to be released regardless so technically NOTHING will PREVENT it because it has to be released at some point no matter what. It's about the level of pain and can be done to alleviate it. Y'all love coming up behind a response vs. just responding to the question asked. If you feel like the information given is wrong/inaccurate then say that in your own reply.

wow.. looks like you still deal with a lot of hormonal dumping...

and Rocky just provided correct information about omeprazole..

hope you feel better soon...

I feel quite fine thank you and will feel even better if you would keep your assumptions to yourself in addition to minding YOUR OWN business. Take care
