What is My Fitness Pal? An app?

Yes, a great app that makes it fool-proof to track everything that gors in your mouth, and also creates graphs to show how your nutrients break down. There is a premium version that does more, but I think the free version is just great for the info I need...

My nutritionist (who is the BOMB, btw) is my "friend" on MFP and she checks in on my diary every few days and makes comments. :)

It's an app, but you can also use the website, so either way works.

Does your plan say only 3 meals a day and no protein drinks? . I would have had a hard time at 5 weeks out eating that at one sitting. My doc said we could eat up to 6 times a day. I usually had a protein drink and then 3-4 small meals- about 1/2c total at each meal. I pretty much eat the same now at 13 months out, just larger meals.

Yes, the nutritionist at the surgeon's office said to eat 3 meals a day, one cup of food per meal.  No snacks except milk or protein shakes and sugar free popsicles.

If protein shakes are an option I would add that before the crackers and carbs. I am not in the 'never have carbs' camp, but in the beginning when the real estate in your pouch is very limited getting in your protein is important. From the beginning I was told to count my protein and count my fluids. Protein was 60-80g minimum. Carbs like toast or crackers were once or twice a week. Protein is important for healing, not losing muscle and not losing hair... Good Luck!

I can't believe you are able to get in 143g protein.  I'm 5 weeks out and struggle to get in 50 of the 60g I've been told to take in daily.  Good for you.
