My huge NSV - so excited!! (Photo)
My husband is a pilot and we fly frequently. I'm always uncomfortable in the seats because I don't want to encroach on anyone else's personal space. I also have to discretely ask the flight attendant for a seat belt extender. Sometimes I can squeeze into the belt without it but I'm so uncomfortable. This past weekend I had to fly and not only did I NOT have to have an extender - there was belt left over. I'm so excited!!!

Congratulations. I think that was one of my favorite NSVs. I think the first one was sitting on the floor and not even realizing I was doing it. I think crossing my legs was one of my all time favs to.
I love how you took a picture of it. I did the same thing. I made my husband take one of me with the tray table down .
That's awesome! I have always hated flying because of this.
I had a similar NSV this weekend. I got into my husband car and the only thing I had to adjust was the mirrors. I normally have to move the seat back to accommodate my tummy.
Now I can't wait until I have to move it forward because I can't reach the pedals.
That was, by far, my favorite NSV. I used to dread flying and traveled with my own seat belt extender to avoid the humiliation of having the ask the flight attendant for one. Nightmare city. Now I am comfortable in an airline seat, have plenty of room, don't nudge up the arm rest with my bulk, and can even cross my legs in the middle seat. Flying is comfortable again. It feels like a miracle.
Congratulations on you flight related NSV. It's the best!

This is a huge one!! I completely understand what it means and I'm so happy for you :) I'm flying in October and I'm excited and nervous for it. It will be exactly 1 year since I flew the last time and I definitely needed an extended then. I always asked for one when I got on the plane, I can't decide if I should still ask for one or risk sitting down and still having to ask for one...
