What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?

My son moved out last year. He was only 21. He is doing really well. I just hate when they come and they leave. The house is so quiet. I try to enjoy the peace and how clean my house is now.
My husband and I are getting to know each other again. It is funny how things come about.
My son moved back home just about a month ago...he was home briefly when he got out of the Navy in '07 but he really has been out since he was 20... and he is 30 now. He told me last night that he thought he would be able to move out in about 6 months.
I love having him home but my husband cannot get it through his head that he is an adult and does not need to check in like a teenager. But, I will be happy when he is on his own again because my house is never picked up now! He is like Pig Pen off of the Peanuts cartoon strip. Not dirty, per se, but clutter just follows him from room to room. And dammit, he keeps stealing my brush. LOL
I know he is hating being home, too... but I know I will probably miss him terribly when he leaves.
I love amusement parks and theme parks and am so excited to take my kids to Disney next year and not have a single worry about fitting in anything or walking all the time! One of the defining moments before surgery that made me realize I was not going to be that person anymore was when my husband and I were at Disneyland and I needed help getting the seat belt buckle done for the Matterhorn. I was horrified--it stopped the ride and everything.

NSV--I've decided that I have lost enough that I can join my friend at Zumba without embarrassing myself!
It's so funny you mention the theme park thing today, we are taking the kids to Wiscosnin Dells on Friday. If you've never heard of the Dells, it is billed as the Waterpark Capital of the World! The have several outdoor waterparks and then probably 15 hotels with Waterparks in them (for the winter months, ya know). They also have go-carts, jet skiing, mini-golf, the duck boat rides, and other touristy attractions EVERYWHERE. It's pretty cool. I worked there as a lifeguard in my youth. We are taking the kids to Mt. Olympus which is a waterpark with go-carts and roller coasters too. It will be the first time since surgery I have done something like this and I am super excited. One of the most embarrassing experiences for me was one time at Cedar Point when I waited in line for 90 min only to be told I didn't fit :(
I also start my new part-time job tonight. I'm kind of pumped about it. I am going to teach swimming lessons. I WOULD NEVER have done this pre-surgery (despite being a good swimmer). It will be fun to teach kids how to swim (ages 18 months to adult). Wish me luck!
