Pain When Eating

Hey Guys!

Im 5 weeks post-op (RNY). I am having pain when Im eating & drinking. Not in the pouch itself but at the top of my esophagus. I am not eating quickly and Im taking small sips. Anyone know what this could be?

If you eat too much at one time it can back up into the esophagus. I would go back to liquid for a day or so and see if the pain goes away. Remember your pouch is very small. If pain continues then see your surgeon.

Do you have a prescription for something like Prilosec? I have been taking it for 2 yrs now. When I try to stop the daily dosage, I get this pain.
