What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?

Today I am three weeks post-op revision. Until this weekend I was doing great, but then suddenly hit a rough patch--got nauseous, then started throwing up on soft shredded lobster last night...dammit. I had not thrown up in 3 weeks, and didn't miss that feeling! I was SO hoping that post-band, I'd give up vomiting, forever...
So due to this unforeseen complication, I return to full liquids this week...
B- 8oz soy milk, 1/2 scoop Click Mocha protein and 1/2 scoop Unjury Chocolate protein.
L- 8oz soy milk and 1 scoop Matrix Peanut Butter
D- Strawberry Unjury mixed with 8oz Lemonade Crystal Light
Snack- 1/2c plain Greek yogurt
Snack- 1/4c ricotta with cinnamon
total calories: 634
total protein: 83
total fat: 8g
- High Weight before LapBand: 200 (2008)
- High Weight before RNY: 160 (2015)
- Lowest post-op weight: 110 (2016)
- Maintenance Weight: 120 (2017-2019)
- Battling Regain Weight: 135 (current)
Sorry for your upset. Hope you are able to return foods soon. I do have issues with vomiting some... not all the time, but some times. And, it is when I don't listen to my body... not taking that one more bite, stop eating so fast. Not saying that was your issue because I am sure you have been careful. But, I can drink water too fast and I will bring it back up. It's just the way my body works now.
I know that I should take more of my anti nausea medicine when I feel yucky. Did your doctor prescribe any for you... if not, I would ask for it?
Hope you feel better!

Thanks. I'm pretty sure some of it was my fault. I was starving by the time I ate--we went to a play and were supposed to eat before, but traffic was awful and we didn't have time. I had only had a few bites of scrambled egg and cottage cheese by 5:30pm, so when we sat down to eat, even though I thought I was being careful, I probably swallowed too quickly...
Good call--Doc did tell me to take the anti-nausea meds again for the next three days, whether I feel like I need them or not.
I already feel better being back on liquids today. I actually like the shakes I make at home, myself, so I'm okay with it :)

Good morning OH friends. Had a great weekend with my DH. Went on a nice long walk sat and had dinner out. Yesterday we went to church and a Harley ride. Love the weekends with him. Today I have my grandkids for a few hours. Need to walk or swim later. Hopefully I won't be too tired with those active boys.

Awww, sorry the boy is away! And, believe me, he wanted you to go in the cabin and get everything ready for him... he just couldn't let you in front of the other "guys". Are you gonna do a care package?
And, Holy Honey, Batman!!! That sounds like a lot of honey to me. Straight honey has never been a fave of mine, but I like Honey Grahams! LOL
My weekend was boring. I took my homeless guy to the store... that was fun! But, other than that, I sat on my ass! I have got to stop doing this! So, one of my sisters, right after my surgery, had gotten 2 shirts custom made for me. Suppose to be real long because I have a large abdomen... lymphedema-like mass... God, I hope it can come off soon! Anyway, so the shirts were sent to her in PA instead of me in NC and she never forwarded them. I finally got them on Sunday because one of my nieces that lives locally got them from my sister at the family reunion. I tear the packaging apart with glee... anticipation is great... I need clothes that fit. One of the shirts barely comes down to my navel... it is 25 inches long. I measured. My son and I were rolling on the floor as to how bad it actually looked... it did fit, though. The other shirt is about 31 inches long... my tum-tum still peeks out but this at least is wearable. Moral of this story: open your packages from online vendors immediately... because it is too late to return it! Now I have to take the shorty shirt to the seamstress to have about 10 inches added on to it... I am thinking like a cute chiffon or georgette material will look good. But, why does everything always have to be a struggle???
