How much weight did you loose the first month post RNY?
Whenever I see your signature stats, I am inspired! My stats seem similar I hope to follow in your foot steps (although I know everyone's journey is different. I was just curious, did you stick strict to the diet plan for the last 11 months? Did you have any stalls? Did you ever have popcorn or pizza? Just curious, not that I could eat those things right now, I am still in the stage where I eat a few bites and I'm full. But I am curious about your journey so far since it seems so successful! Anything you would like to share would be awesome!
Thanks!
Female, 38 years old. Revision from band to RNY. Lost 29 pounds pre-op. First month lost 18 pounds. Realistically that was lost in 2 weeks. Spent over a week in the hospital with bowel obstruction after the RNY and did not lose any weight while there (IV bags were giving me equivalent to 2500 calories a day). So 1.5 weeks after the I lost 18 pounds. Then hit the 3rd week stall. That lasted the next 4 weeks.
Started at over 50 BMI, lost 11 pounds the first week and then went on a 3 1/2 week stall and lost nothing more that month.

A whopping 13.6 lbs, lol. I'd lost 80 lbs pre-op though and had a surgery BMI of 37. I was also warned I wouldn't have the big post-op drop that a lot of people have. I've been losing slowly but steadily. I'm 3 months out now and am down 117 lbs, 37 since surgery.
I lost 33, but I wouldn't recommend the way it happened: I ended up back in the hospital for the third week with an abscess in my back filled with a strep infection. I actually lost a pound a day for the first six weeks, then half a pound a day, then 1/3 per day...now I'm down to about 10 lbs per month. Starting BMI 35.4, current somewhere in the 24s. So like everyone says, it's highly individualized and YMMV.
