Hello!!! Iam new here
Iam having the RNY soon hopefully, ,, my insurance requires a 6 month supervised diet,which I have finished, now I am on my last two appts for the clearances,,, so I still dont have a surgery date yet!!! I have a pretty supportive husband,, but he still doesn't think i need the surgery,, iam looking for someone who is about to have the surgery or already had it to talk to during all this, ,,,,my family isn't exactly supportive,, they ate all severely obese and think everyone should be to.......feeling kind of alone here! !!!!
Hello, Welcome! I'm also waiting for my RNY and have found this board to be full of wonderful information and amazing support. You know in your heart what is best for you, so maybe sharing on this site with others who have gone through the experience will be more helpful than discussing it with your family. My mother is not at all supportive, so I just don't go there with her. Best of luck to you! 
Welcome! I am pretty new to the site myself. In the short time I've been here I have gained a great deal of support form members. I am also very fortunate to have great support from my family although most of then are obese. In addition I have support from my employees and management team. I have no doubt that you will find a ton of support form the members on this site!
