I know what you mean regarding only looking at protein and calorie ratio... but bratwurst/hot dogs/etc we have a TON of (old bad eating habits!) that are pretty scary high in fat/sodium/calories even though they're coming with some protein. For now they're tucked back in the deep freeze - the DH might be talked into a Labor Day BBQ next month. :)

Beautiful weekend, went to a Tea room with my girlfriends Saturday - Still celebrating my birthday :)... It is a clean out my fridge and cook what's in there kinda day. So I pre-cooked some chicken thighs that will go on the grill later today or tomorrow and I am making Eggplant Parmesan. I bake the slices with Pam not fry them and i put a little bit of ricotta between the layers - it gives it a rollatini taste and adds protein. I will have to freeze some and share with my neighbors... but I have just been craving it with all the beautiful eggplants int he store. The key to making the baked not fried  taste authentic is to cover and cook in oven much longer than normal like 70 - 90 minutes .

B: Pina colada Smoothie

L: baked Eggplant Parmesan

S: salad with cheese

D: grilled Chicken Thighs, sauteed spinach

S: Chobani simply 100 key lime yogurt

The weekend started out with a bang....or should I say fall?? My 22 month old fell at the sitters and I had to leave work early to bring him to Urgent Care.  He ended up getting 2 staples in his head.  Poor little guy!

Then I was in late to work this morning because my 4 year old had his 4 year check up.  All good there, he was really really good for the two shots he had to get.  PHEW

I am still on the prednisone, and still playing with the same 2 lbs over and over again.  UGH  I have a few days left to take.  Hopefully once I am done with it, I will start losing again.  :)

I hope the little guy is doing ok.  I remember when my now almost 11 year old fell and had to have 5 stitches in his eyebrow when he was 30 months.  Not an enjoyable experience for mom or baby boy!
