Felt like dumping, but...?

I am 14 days out today! I've generally been feeling great--getting in all of my fluids and protein with no problems. Yesterday I swam, went on the elliptical machine, and went for a long walk!

I woke up feeling just fine this morning. I had about 4oz of Fruit2O, then grabbed my chewable multivitamin.

By the last chew on the multi, I started feeling awful--dizzy, sweaty, and stomach cramps.

These are sugar free, obviously, so I know this isn't a "real" dump. But any ideas why this might happen, so I can avoid it EVER happening again?

Look at the label on your multi for sweeteners like Sorbitol or Maltitol.  These are sugar alcohols that will give you cramping and diarrhea.  I have to go with OPurity vitamins from Unjury to avoid those problems

That's the brand I was using :( ...but thanks...

I am slowly sipping ice water and starting to feel a little better.

Sometimes vitamins or meds just sit in your pouch and feel like crap. The best thing you can do is drink a lot and pu**** through. Once it's in your intestine it won't bother you. If the vitamin is what caused the issue.

Thanks. Does taking them with a shake help?

Whatever pushes them through your stomach into your intestine is what will work.

It wasn't the new sparkling version of fruit20, was it?

Nope. I have had exactly two bubbly drinks since I was originally banded in 2009, and the experience was so miserable both times that I will NEVER do that, again!

Sucks that happened.  Sometimes the pouch is just cranky (even 12 years later).  It's good you went for ice water.  I find that or warm tea helps calm things down.

I know this isn't the point of your post, but are you cleared to swim? I wasn't allowed to submurge ( no baths, no swimming ) myself for 6 weeks...just wanting to make sure your surgeon cleared you for swimming.

I woke up in between a memory and a dream...
