First day on the patch!

My thanks to Lora for turning me on to these! I'm so excited to not be taking my 20 pills today. The only thing is that I have this nagging feeling that I'm forgetting something. Lol I'm sure it will take a while to get used to.

My calcium/D was the hardest thing for me to remember. My labs came back on the normal low side so my surgeon increased my dosage to four times a day instead of three.  I'm not sure I really needed that much I think that my labs came back that way because I wasn't even getting in my three times a day that I was supposed to to begin with. So the patch is only a  hundred milligrams of calcium less than if I were taking the supplement four times a day so it's a lot more than my normal three times a day. I just pray that these patches keep my numbers were they need to be. I can't tell you how freeing this feels.

I started mine last week.  I LOVE THEM!  So easy, and I love that I am not choking down pills anymore.

Which patch are you using? Where do you put it? How long do you have to wear it? Weird question... any nausea?

THANKS!!!!

Patches are from PatchMD.  One patch daily (8-10 hour wear time), and you can wear it anywhere the skin is firm and hair free (upper arms or shoulder are recommended).  I haven't experienced any side effects at all.

Do you take the multi vitamin patch only and have you completed stopped taking your oral vitamins? I'd like to try the patch but don't want to get all messed up on labs. I just had mine done so won't be ready for labs for another year. But I would love to get rid of all these vitamin bottles

After my surgery I am planning on taking the calcium chews from Bariatric Advantage. They make a tropical orange and it tastes just a starburst. One in am and the pm.

I started the patch a week ago. I still take 2 extra calcium petites and a vitamin D since I'm trying to raise that level. Are any of you supplementing with anything extra? One day my patch was itchy, but other than that no side effects.  Loving life!
