It's hormones, similar to those who have diabetes go into remission immediately after surgery. Some say it's because of losing your insulation, but it happens during yhe surgery itself. We still had plenty of padding left!

It gets better slowly for most people.

Yeah I told my husband that.  He said its cause I was losing insulation.  I have lost weight but not that much  lol!

I will say, it has gotten me into the Christmas spirit!  I feel like putting on some carols and whipping up some eggnog!

I know that's how it happened for me, Grim, but didn't know why.  Thanks for that.  I was cold from the second I got out of surgery, and have been ever since.  It started long before I lost any 'insulation'.  I also went into menopause right after surgery, so with no more hormones, it's no wonder I'm freaking freezing to death!

GOAL REACHED! 170 lbs lost...

It's been 2.5 yrs and I'm still freezing my stuff off. Blankets and sweat clothing all the time. Blood chems are all on point; body fat G-O-N-E.

I froze this past winter..I happen to work in the coldest room in the building.  I wore 5 layers of clothes to work.  It has slowly gotten better this summer..., but we haven't run the a/c much til this past week or so.  Even so, if my husband has it turned too low, I will cover up with a blanket.

Amy I am from Naples but working in California for a few weeks right now. And I am FREEZING. At home I usually take a sweater into a/c settings like restaurants and movie theaters - but here? Even though it hit 90 today it's not the same as "Florida heat." I can hardly wait to get back!

My husband is mad tonight.   I changed the bed clothes today and instead of just putting on fresh sheets I added a blanket and the winter comforter.   I also have a throw I put over me.  I'm piled up.   He's on the other side of the king bed with barely a sheet covering his butt.

I always keep an extra blanket on my side!

Get a heated mattress pad. It should have dual controls so you can have your side on and he can have his side off. Kept me toasty warm in winter and spring and didn't annoy my husband!

Me too. My kids are sweating.

No more polar bear coats-insulations gone. I got to wear extras too. 2 tops 2 jackets to keep warm in a air conditioned room. Better at 78-80 degrees, and then I can dress normal.
