Question for MiraLAX Users
I have 2 capfuls a day, one in the morning and on at night. It is prescribed to me and I've been using it for about 4 years. I also take stool softeners.
I've found that it didn't help me much to use occasionally, I need to be on a daily regiment.
My constipation was so bad I gave myself a hernia from straining. When I have tried to cut back or stop taking it my constipation became much worse in a matter of days.

I use Miralax every day. per doc orders. I buy the generic Costco brand. I use enough to have a soft movement every morning. I use more on days that I have more problem "going" and less when my guts moving too much..
Too much fiber constipate me and hurts my guts. I can't add fiber.
Because of Miralax - I now have 90% time pain free guts..

I take 1200 my daily. 400 during the day, 800 before bed. On top of Miralax. I developed IBS-C. Magnesium by itself does not work for me anymore. Unfortunately.
