What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning everyone... it is a beautiful morning in hot, hot, hot NC! If there was no cable or internet in our house, we would definitely be murderous! But, good for you , AV, for doing this! How is the boy standing it??I remember when my husband and I split up for about one year when our son was 12, that I only had basic cable. He endured that but there is no way he would have been able to do no cable. Isn't that awful??? What have we become as a society??? Hmmm, too deep for a Monday morning...
So, this weekend, I took my son to the VA for some stomach issues that he has been having... it was really not that long of a wait. He is feeling better so I am feeling better (doesn't matter how old they are). And... I have my SUV back!!! Really got it back on Friday but he is purring like a kitten and life is good!!! Thank god! Other than those 2 events, I was a home body! I did go by Little Caesar's to get my good friend some pizzas for her family for letting me use her extra car for a few days. Hey, I asked to bring her dinner and this is what she requested. Anyway, while there, I saw some soft pretzel sticks with cheese dipping sauce. I LOVE soft pretzels! So, I got some... they do not LOVE me!! I ate 2 little sticks and promptly went into the bathroom and threw up! I am going to miss them... oh well, not good for me anyway! I hate to throw up but I do love that my pouch is kind of touchy... it keeps me in line!

A little late to the party! AV you are crazy... No Air, No Internet, No cable??? Yikes. I had a very full day on Saturday - It was my Birthday! Yay! I had a charity event for an organization I am President of which provides a homeless shelter and housing to Homeless Vets. Then went to dinner at a fancy restaurant with my Brother and his family. Had a great meal - A little Lobster Bisque, 2 Oysters on the half shell, Duck with Asparagus, and Berrys with real whipped cream for dessert. Of course I didn't fini**** all, but it was all soooo delicious and felt so decadent.
B: Premier Protein, coffee
L: 3 oz Lobster Salad (Aldi's had frozen Maine Lobster tails one time. I finally cooked them last night. 2 tails= 3 oz meat. Even at Aldi's prices an expensive 3oz.)
S: unflavored protein powder stirred into SF Fruit Punch
D: another Birthday dinner with a friend.

Good Afternoon!
AV--could I please get your buffalo chicken salad recipe?
I got nothing done I had planned on but I did finally find a babysitter I'm excited about for the youngest one on Saturday! I wasn't real thrilled with the first one we had decided on...my husband said it best ("I wish she was a little more expensive and a little bit better"). But out of nowhere Saturday we found an awesome lady who decided to expand and now my toddler is going someplace a lot better! (and still very reasonably priced!!) So I still call it a win on the weekend.
3 1/2 months since surgery
B-1/2 adkins egg/bacon scamble
S-1/2 grapefruit
L-mini burger no bun, 2 boneless buffalo wings
S-?
D-my dearest friend and her family are moving away tomorrow morning so we're having them for dinner..probably pizza since they don't know when they are coming due to cleaning/packing....which means I'll find something in the freezer and have that.
It was originally Anny's recipe, but I tweaked it to my tastes!
1 can chunk chicken breast
1/2 packet of ranch dressing mix
small container plan Greek yogurt
2.5 oz. bleu cheese crumbles (this is half of one of those little containers they have by the deli)
diced onion/celery/S&P to taste
Frank's Red Hot; I usually give it a good 5 slugs from the bottle
This lasts me 4 meals and it's my favorite ever!
