8 more days in August- How is everyone doing with goals??

I will go first:

Lose 6 more pounds by the Aug 5 (next surgeon appt)- I've lost 1 :( It is coming off so slow! Trying not be be discouraged but keep pushing. I'm eating the right amount and logging it, plus getting my 8 glasses of water plus exercising. I've been stuck for the past almost 2 weeks. But PCOS is a demon and I think it is rearing it's ugly head.

Read new book: Food: the good girl's drug- 1/2 way done with this. It's an easy read. It's a good book if you struggle with emotional/stress eating which I find there are so many of us that do.

Work up to 6.5 miles on the stationary bike per day (at 5-5.8 now)- I made this goal now for the past 2 days!

Look into new avenues for working out- It's a million degrees here- not going to walk outside just yet! Tried to C25K one day outside. My ankles hurt for a week, so I will stick to walking instead of trying to "prance-ercize". I think I just still weigh too much to put that impact on my cankles!

Bye for now!

Me-sticking to my diet despite frustrations over insurance/weight loss office/trying to get my RNY scheduled.  So far I'm doing this and I'm proud of myself!  I too am about 3/4 of the way through with that SAME BOOK!  It is a total eye opener.  After I finish that one I'm going to read Break free from emotional overeating, which is recommended in her book as well.  I really think it does help.

I need to be more consistent with my gym/exercise.  Working two jobs it has been more hit and miss than it should be.

HANG IN THERE!!

My surgery hopefully will be Nov/Dev time frame.

The book is good- I do have emotional food issues and I know it will be a daily struggle for the rest of my life. i will check out the book above too.

You can so do this and I hope you get your date soon!

So far so good. I will be 3 month post op on 7/29 and wanted to weigh 247 and today when I weighed my self I am 248. I have still been able to work 4 times a week, went out and bought me some weights and kettle bell to step it up. The journey continues. Everyone be blessed.
