Revision of Gastric bypass after 4yrs. has anyone done this
Have you seen your surgeon? He would be able to tell if there is a mechanical issue with your pouch or stoma, but honestly it's pretty rare. The most common reason for regain, by far, is starting to eat more.
See a surgeon and get checked out. But get back on plan with food. Dense protein first. Weigh your food, log everything you eat, and cut back, and you will lose. I know it's really hard to do, but it's the only thing that will get the weight off.

I doubt any insurance company will pay for a revision for not reaching goal. A DS is the only true revision and it's a very specialised surgery. You might find a Surgeon to offer to "fix" your RNY and if you do, run quickly the opposite way ...
If you did not learn how to live with WLS and change your habits, then not reaching goal and now regaining is the result. No WLS can succeed if you don't live the program.
Your best hope is doing what you should have done from the beginning - the group Back on Track Together will p rob ably help you with that, if you are serious about losing the weight. Lots of us can lose regain if we try hard enough!

I guess I forgot to mention that I am o.c.d which means I follow rules to the letter but as well I had 3 surgeries and Intestine Issues that kept me out of the gym for almost 2 years I still eat 6 small meals a day Two and a half hours apart I still eat off of a saucer I don't drink beverages when I eat or right Before or after Also I had some things one on mentally because my sister passed shortly after having surgery After I had surgery I still follow the rules Jeff wasn't able to work out And I have already been aproved Through my insurance to have revision surgery I am actually just waiting on my date
A woman in one of my classes had RNY done and after a year and a half and only losing 30 pounds found our surgeon who did a scope. The scope showed the "pouch" was the size of a small melon. Yes, I said small melon! She was having our surgeon redue the pouch to the proper size. The other doctor left it way to big and with following the rules for so long, she knew something wasn't right! Hope yours goes well, good luck!!
