Why am I not losing?

Hey all! So I'm 5 weeks out from my revision from lapband to RNY. I'm feeling good and have had no complications. I've lost 27 pounds since my 10 day preop diet started but have not been losing in the past few weeks. I'm doing everything my doctor's office is telling me to do. I get in between 60-70 grams of protein a day and 64oz of water. What am I doing wrong and when will I start to see the scale move? I'm so discouraged.

No one can say for sure without a lot more information but I would guess you're in the midst of the infamous three-week stall.

Age, sex, amount of excess weight, caloric intake, exercise and many other factors all go into how much you lose and how quickly.

Go up to the little magnifying glass in the blue bar at the top of the page and search "three week stall".  You will find hundreds of posts on the subject.  It is a VERY common issue and is talked about on these boards almost daily.  Just keep working your program and the weight WILL come off.  Stay off the scale if it stresses you  out.

I'm averaging about 8-900 calories a day but my doctor told me not to necessarily worry about the calories. I just wonder if I need to be eating less or more a day.

Don't get discouraged.  Maybe your body needs a little rest from weight loss.  Put the scale away for a while.  Keep doing what you're doing and you will be fine.
