Morning ladies, Beautiful day here as well. The humidity is gone and its the prefect summer day, I can't wait to get out for a run after work! I never went to summer camp. We had a big pool in our backyard and from the time I was born until I was 19 I lived in that pool and all the neighbourhood kids came over and we played and swam all day long. My sister and I were like Mermaids. And if we weren't' in the pool we were riding our bikes, playing hide and seek, exploring in the woods across the street (we lived in the country) and on rainy days my sister and I played with our Barbies or Lego's for hours! The good old days!!

10+ years post op, living & loving life!
I just picked fresh Jersey Tomatoes and Cilantro from our garden. I think I'll make some salsa and maybe even bruschetta. I don't have any melba toast, but it may be just as well. With Jerseys I can eat the salsa and bruschetta without it. I'll put it on some mozzarella! Summer is the best time to eat healthy with fresh fruits and vegetables. I just need to think about my protein and carbs!
No camp for me! I grew up on a dairy farm in central PA so I was at camp everyday!! I just didn't realize it. LOL. I was lucky enough to have plenty of people to play with so when we weren't working or playing in the barns, we were running through the woods like little heathens! I did send my son to day camps and sports camps... he seemed to like them well enough. I always wanted to go to camp... I bet it is a blast!
My menu today:
B: Tea with Sugar Leaf and a Premier Chocolate Shake
L: Taco Salad (2.5 oz of ground turkey with taco seasoning, lettuce, 2 tablespoons of Simply sour cream, 1/2 oz shredded cheese). I have noticed since WLS, that I like spicy food a lot more than before, not that taco seasoning is usually particularly spicy but this packet was. I really do have different tastes now, I guess it does happen.
S: Toasted Coconut Vanilla greek yogurt, Lite and Fit, maybe a turkey stick if I need it (counted it)
D: 3 oz of shrimp, 1/2 cup of whole green beans
S: 1 oz beef jerky
Totals: Calories - 738, Protein - 101 , Carbs - 36, Sugar - 24, Fats - 22
Vitamins and Water started, wasn't able to swim yesterday due to major thunderstorms... plan to make up for it today!
Side Note: So, today is my son's birthday (30)... you just wait, you young moms. When your baby turns 30, it is mind boggling. Anyway, I made him a red velvet cake last night... I didn't lick the beaters, the bowl or anything. Yay!!!! LOL... I knew it would make me feel yucky! I was too tired to make the frosting so I am making that when I get home from work this afternoon, so I hope someone is there that can taste test for me because it will NOT be going into my mouth!!! I feel resolved. And, the old me would have been saying this and trying to figure out a way to sneak some... wish me luck!
I'm a Central PAer too! I grew up in Northumberland, an hour up the Susquehanna from Harrisburg. What about you?

Morning All! My parents had the same concept as your Mom. We lived in the country, had few friends within range. My brother and I were best of friends growing up. We were also worst of enemies at times too. I wanted to send my kids to camp, but the $$$ was WAY out of our budget!

Good morning everyone! So I'm now convinced there is a direct correlation between stress and weight loss. While I was deciding between my old job and the new offer and after I gave my notice my loss was at a standstill, I've been at my new job for 2 days and I've lost 3lbs! Crazy how your body reacts! Here's my food plan.
