I was a night eater too. I totally cut it out. I wanted to break that habbit and I did. You can do it too. Get your mind it the right place and you too will stop eating at night. I eat a good supper and realized that eating after that was not because i was hungry but it was just a habbit. So I have another bottle of water with a drink stick and the feeling or thought of being hungry is gone. Keep yourself busy. Good Luck!!

It's the most dangerous time for most of us. I try to save calories earlier in the day so I can have them at night.

I usually will have a snack saved for at night. I don't always eat it. I know it is there and counted for.

I recently was looking up sleeping disorders and came upon Night Eating Syndrome completely by accident.  I can't sleep at night due to my Fibro and restless legs and eat, eat, eat.  I didn't realize it was a problem until after the surgery and it is rearing it's ugly head again.  I have talked to my therapist about this and she is researching it.  I do so well during the day.   I am aware this is a problem and I'm on a slippery slope. Very depressed about it.

My PCP is a wholistic one, and I've been having trouble sleeping and with restless leg all summer. She said that sometimes iron deficiency sometimes will manifest as restless legs.  I upped my iron, and haven't really had the trouble as much. You may want to look into it!

Thanks I will up my iron although my iron levels have been really good and I've had restless legs for almost 50 years.  So embarrassed by it at meetings and just sitting at work, telling people I had to stand because I had a bad back because I didn't know what it was called and I didn't want to tell people I have creepy sensations in my legs.lol

I've been going for a walk every night after dinner to Starbucks to get a decaf with skim milk and Splenda.  ****d or hot depending on weather)  It gets me 2 miles of walking in and a treat/reward to satisfy my sweet craving.  I'll have to figure out something different when winter hits, but for now it helps!
