Good morning! I am back at work after a glorious day off yesterday. I had the most fantastic weekend (although my food choices were questionable at best). We went to the Kenny Chesney/Jason Aldean concert at Target Field in Minneaspolis on Sunday and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Best concert I have ever been to. 6 1/2 hours of awesome music and I danced the whole time. I felt 18 again, that is until the concert was over and then I felt like my body had been in a fight with a dumptruck. HA!
My husband has decided to join me in my low carb lifestyle (win for me) and I am super excited for him to be healthier. I was supposed to go low carb again this morning but I already ate half a birthday scone... bad Nikki! I need to move on and be good for the remainder of the day.

So were Kenny and Jason dreamy to see and lust worthy?? I bet they both put on a great show. Like I said before, Kenny Chesney doesn't really do it for me but Jason Aldean does!! My niece is crazy for Kenny, though... LOL.
Good for your hubby but realize that he will be eating all the cheese. Just ask AV!
Oh I forgot...went to the mall yesterday to return stuff I bought online...should know by now it never fits...and I had an Aunt Annies pretzel...If I hadn't been alone, I doubt I would've caved, because I would never have eaten it with someone watching, but Oh my go**** was decadent and delicious and really bad for me... I understand cheating...
Hey all, I've been seriously MIA lately but it's time to get back to you all!
My grandmother passed away on Friday the 10th and that threw my life into a bit of extra craziness. As you know, she was sick and in hospice care for several months and then the final three weeks of her life were difficult. There is both a sense of relief that her suffering is done and a profound sadness at losing her.
All the schedule upheaval left me using it as a convenient excuse not to do what I know I need to do - track, track, track - and as such I'm up, up, up on the scale. That old habit of turning to food for comfort was definitely rearing its ugly head and I'm ready to rein things in.
Time since surgery: 1 year +
B: Chobani Tube, breakfast sandwich, coffee with cream
S: cottage cheese
L: TJ's turkey meatballs with sauce and cheese
S: turkey sticks and a babybel light
.....? It's book club night which means I'm going to make more poor choices undoubtedly

So sorry about your Gram... I know her illness and last days have been a terrible ordeal for you and your family. Just remember, she had a long, cherished life.... we could all for hope for that much. And, it's okay to feel relief that her suffering is over; she is free. You will rein the food thing back in... sometimes you have to mourn with food. Food and family go together. And, I bet you a million bucks, you were not as bad as you would have been, pre-surgery. Most likely, you ate like a normal person.
My prayers to you!
