I wanted a doughnut today when a co-worker had two creamy gooey ones. I the wanted a piece of whipped creme cake that they had to celebrate a co-workers last day. The I was offered Strawberry Shortcake to celebrate yet another co-workers birthday-all this today. So I went home and sliced up 1 ounce shaved beef sirloin which I added to 1 oz whole grain brown rice, 1 tsp roasted red pepper, I TBS cooked green lentil, I Tsp Sm Diced vidalia Onion and 1 ounce fresh spinach, and 1 TSP sharp lo-fat shredded aged provolone-and 1/2 egg for added protein(which it is loaded with anyway). Delicious and no guilt. I doesn't look delicious but it is,

I've got to be honest with you, I'd have gone back and had a doughnut.

In Minnesota, your concoction would include cream of mushroom soup and be called a hotdish.  Also in Minnesota, if preparing a hotdish for Catholics, follow the recipe as written.  If preparing it for Lutherans, double the ingredients.

And if you're Mormon, you'd do the mushroom soup version and make a side of green jello.

Lutherans love green jello too!

Good for you! We were working a long day/night last week, and it was 10:30pm.  Hadn't eaten in several hours.  Co worker's brought in: Italian cookies, pizza, popcorn, and chips.  Dear Lord!

I had a few mini bonbel cheese snacks in the fridge and immediately went out to grab one.  I then snuck a peek at my before picture on my phone. Crisis averted!

But ut to your original point: I have made some totally delicious meals since changing my lifestyle. This isn't a prison term! It can be pretty awesome and awesomely delicious :-)

Very true! I discovered that a cream cheese and green onion omelet is even better than cream cheese wontons. All the delicious insides with an egg instead of a wrapper, which isn't really that great anyway.
