Good afternoon,

Sitting here eating my veggie burger.

Congrats Nikki on the weight loss.  I kept within carbs yesterday also, but my scale is not moving and it's not the only thing not moving.  May need to add some fiber which means more carbs.

B:  Premier Protien Shake

Coffee w/ cream & liquid stevias

L:  Franklin Farms Fresh Veggie Burger (Tastes like meat and you can see the veggies in it too)

D:  Sausage, Peppers and onion (no roll)

S:  Grapes

Cals: 557   Carbs: 44   Protein: 56

Looks like I need to add some more protein, hope it doesn't up my carbs too much.

Hey all!  They are working me to death here training the new girl.  I think she's ready to fly solo, mostly because I hate having someone sit with me.

I am new to the site and still waiting for my surgery date, but can I just say I LOVE the "What's on your menu?" Posts. I really enjoy reading what others are eating to keep it healthy and on track.

Gotta come clean - 54 carbs yesterday.  We went to the Chart House for dinner and I got purple mashed potatoes (which were actually sweet potatoes).  Blew my below 50 goal, but not by too much I guess . . . at least far less than I would have eaten a year ago :)

B:  7 steamed spiced shrimp

S:  1/2 premiere protein shake

L:  3 turkey meatballs

S:  1/2 premiere protein shake

D:  Asain Chicken Bake - probably 1 thigh

S:  Light & Fit Greek Coconut

Not sure of the totals - have to figure out the dinner count

V/W:  started

E:  hour on treadmill - interval

High: 295  Pre-surgery: 267  Current: 142   RNY: 10/7/14

4g ain't bad for a splurge.  I consider that a win!  I LOVE sweet potatoes but I have never had purple ones.

Nikki - so thrilled to hear of your scale movement!  My scale has moved too....UP.  Yesterday was a scary day - I mindlessly grazed for hours.  I can't even say mindlessly because I knew I was doing it and I didn't stop myself.  So today my choices are much more deliberate.

Time Since Surgery: 19 months tomorrow!

B: 3 oz chicken salad (grilled chicken, light mayo), cranberry thin addictives, iced coffee with half and half

L: 2.75 oz chicken salad, 4 mini roasted red peppers, 10 green olives, cranberry thin addictives 100 cal pack to put the chicken salad on

S: Chicken salad (so original, I know)

D: TBD - going out on a date

E: I tried a mixed martial arts class this morning that was surprisingly tough and good!  Then I did an hour on the Arc Trainer.  In 1.5 hours, MFP says I burned 600 calories.  No clue if that's true or not

Totals without dinner: 900 calories, 58 protein, 49 carbs...so clearly I am not in the low carb challenge though I am much lower than yesterday, let me tell you...

I am traveling tomorrow for 8 days straight (Charlotte for a family thing and then San Fran for work) UGH.  I hate being away from my routine, my gym, my food scale etc.  But I know what I need to do.

Love seeing what everyone is up to and eating.  That chicken cheddar ranch cream cheese thing sounds pretty awesome!  Have a great day all!  Emily

The important thing is you know what you did wrong, held yourself accountable and made a plan to change your behavior.  Thats all any of us can do after the damage is done.

Date??  Deets!

Remember to pack lots of healthy snacks in your travel bags and check in with us if you have time :)

It's definitely not ok, but yeah I suppose the positive is that I am not making excuses like "I am stressed, I am busy" or letting it landslide into poor eating habits day after day after day.  But I will tell you, maintenance is proving to be 10000 times harder than losing.  So for everyone who thinks losing the weight is hard, ugh, wait until you are 1.5 years+ out.  I wish I were someone who just "never thinks about food" and "eats to stay alive, not because I enjoy it" but I still enjoy it and I still can slide back into using food to deal with life/emotions/etc.  So I must remain vigilant.  I have set a range of weight I am willing to accept (10 lbs) and I am above that, so the time is here to tighten the belt.

I just packed up some Quest bars and thin addictives, plus some Chike packets, and I already told my mom to hard boil eggs and buy salmon and turkey lunch meat and cheese, so I am sure she will support me as she always does.  She is my biggest cheerleader and makes sure there is protein at all times.  However, the normal people (and the obese people!) in my family love their pretzels and wheat thins and things like that, so it will be sheer willpower that keeps me from eating them :)

Thanks for the support!
