I don't think it has to do with who's doctor has the "right" plan.  It is just plain common sense.  My surgeon's plan had things on it like cereal, toast, etc.  Those may be fine for some people but for me, those are the kind of things that got me in trouble.  Just because we can eat something doesn't mean it's a good idea.

If your doctor has a post op plan that is heavy on carbs and light on protein then you probably have a doctor that doesn't really know a lot about post WLS nutrition.  He may be the best surgeon in the world but not so much a good nutritionist.

Thanks guys! It makes sense. I do ask questions and get good results from people on here! I was just reading one post about the meat issue and it got me thinking. I don't wish to block anyone! I want a better understanding of the community and as I read and post I am getting that!! Thanks ☺

I believe it is important to remind ourselves that while many of the posters here have the best intentions, they are not medical doctors. I believe in listening to my doctors' keen, modern advice and  sorting thru the questions of others on this site for clarification, in some cases. JMHO
